Shooting at NIU Campus

I'm watching television reports of a shooting at Northern Illinois University. Possibly 18 wounded, gunman is dead. I'm praying for the students and their families. What a tragedy. edit to add - I hope everyone's friends and families are safe.

I think that was a horrible for NIU........My cousins' daughter was in the next building over and was terrified! Then all the airways got full so people had a hard time calling out. She got home safe and sound yesterday, but is in a state of shock......this girl is one tuff cookie and doesn't get shook up easily. My heart goes out to those parents and anyone connected to this tragedy. Pam

I must say that I am very blessed because my oldest daughter attends N.I.U. My daughter was in that the same building ten minutes earlier prior to the shootings. My daughter is safe at home but is very shaking up. She doesn't want to go back to N.I.U but she only has one year left to go. My youngest daughter decided to leave N.I.U back in December when there were threats posted on the University wall. There has to be a way to keep our children safe. My prayers are with the families and the students. I
