Did You Move To Lose Today?
Hey Everyone
I hope your weekend was a blast
We almost froze to death. Actual temps were below zero and we won't talk about the wind chill.... Come on spring...get here
Went to my boxing class Friday night, Saturday and Sunday. Also did some weight training.
For those of you that think boxing is just hitting the bag, let me share with you an one hour class. I personally don't like hitting people and or getting hit
But did you know boxing and kick boxing burns the most cals an hour than "ANYTHING" else? Around 800 cals. Why you ask? You have to be in the best of shape endurance wise to stand in the ring and box as long as they do. Well check this out:
Pre class warm up - 2 rounds of suicide runs
Jump rope
20 pushups
2 rounds of weaving in and out between the bags
20 push ups
20 burbies
Jump rope
Arm circles
20 pushups
By now we are pooped and have not hit the bag
Then we do a series of 2 min workouts
Jab punches
Jabs and cros*****hes
20 sit ups
20 bicycles
Jab, cross, hook punches
Upper cut punches
20 sit ups
Jump rope
Combination of all punches
20 push ups
leg lifts
leg lifts cross over
crunches
bicyles
side crunches
burbies
Then the ambulance carries us out

So my friends, Did You Move To Lose and or Maintain Today? Come on in and let's get this party started
If you are pre-op, let us know if you are walking to help with that pre-op diet. Are you using the step counter? If you are a newbie, tell us how we can help to get you going? If you have put on a few pounds and want to "get back on track", let's go. Let me help you get back to the basics? And if you are kicking butt, then share with us what works for you
Take care,
Kathy

I hate to say it but it's snowing pretty good now. I hope it lets up so I can get to my class... I am really getting tired of this weather.....
At least you got your workout in already. And a mighty fine one it was!!!!
See ya tomorrow if it doesn't snow to bad.
Take care,
Kathy

Good Afternoon Kathy!
Yep, I battled the covers and got up at 4 and warmed up on the bike, then did a 30 minute workout on the ball. I am still learning this workout (3rd time I've done this one), but it makes me just a little sore all over, so it must be working. It makes for a total of 45-50 minutes of working out, which I thought was not bad....
How long can I do the same routine before switching it up to continue to fool my body into hopefully losing something?
Your workout shows me what a newbie I still am! WOW! That is really something!
Hi Dawn,
For me I change up if I am getting bored and find I am not looking forward to my workout. If I am ot getting the results I want, and if I am not feeling sore, no matter how many reps and or increase in weights then I look to my form.
If you have a routine that is working for you, you don't have to change.
You are doing a great job my friend....and I love that you always are looking for ways to do better
See you tomorrow

Got to the YMCA at 5:15am today...it was BITTER cold, the wind hurt my face!!! Ran for 40 minutes at 5.2mph. I'm slowly increasing my speed...It's hard work, but I am almost in tears each time I complete my run because I NEVER thought I would be able to do this.

Haven't made it yet but will be going to cardinal fitness about 3pm to get in my work out for the day. Can't believe how much I enjoy going to the gym now that I'm down 66 lbs. I never thought I would ever hear myself say that I miss working out on the days that I can't make it to the gym!! Can't wait for the warmer weather. Can't wait to be able to go for nice long walks or hikes this summer!!
