Success begins with wise choices I make,I will not let noncompliance be my mistake, The surgery I had was to assist me in changes. My compliance is for a success long range, So I will think before I decide to cheat. Remember the goals I want to meet. For this surgery is not something I was force to do It was what I wanted for a healthy life!
Just a regular workday for me, but I did stay home yesterday. Our little lane wasn't plowed till 10PM and our driveway even later...but I had no trouble getting out this morning. Had my yearly physical today and the doc was pleased with the weight loss and everything else was fine. This has been doctor week and all three went well. Since I've topped the out of pocket limit, I'm having everything checked before June 30!
Have to do a presentation at Rockford Public Schools later today so I'd better go over the material again!

Better late than never, I guess.
Yesterday we got around 16 inches. I complained all day as it was coming down that they wouldn't close work. Finally, we got the word that we would close at 3. My boss let us go at 2, but we just took turns getting everyone out of the parking lot. When I got home, I got the car stuck 1/2 in the street and 1/2 in the drive. My neighbors came over and helped shovel me out. I hit it and started sliding and just slid into a snow pile in my front yard.
This morning, I went outside to find that the snow plow had plowed me in. I called work to let them know that it would take me at least a couple of hours to get out. Well, I didn't want to bother dh because he has been in bed with bronchitis all week, so I did it. 5 weeks post op and I knew better, than to try to lift that heavy snow. You guessed it, I got hurt. At the first pain, I came inside and called in. Dh got up and asked for oatmeal, so I had to get a chair to reach the cabinet. I screamed when I climbed the chair. I had such pain in my stomach. I slid down in the chair and just cried til he came and helped me to bed. I woke up feeling better and under dh's orders stayed inside and let him and our daughter shovel the car out. It took them 3 1/2 hours. He said that I had the car burried in the snow pile. Like I had a choice. I made skirt steak for dinner. I had it marinating in the fridge since yesterday, so it was nice and tender. Unfortunalty it came back up. I am having such a hard time with meats. I think that I may have to go back to puree. Meanwhile, I need to hit the vitamin shop for some supplements. I saw Dr Rantis on Tuesday. I've lost 31 so far since surgery date. He thinks that I am doing exceptionaly well, but would like to see me exercise more. I joined the gym last week and I still haven't been. I think that shoveling snow should count for something, right. I know I need to hit the gym, I just have a million excuses this week. Sweet dreams everyone, ~Michelle
