Wednesday Roll Call

Good morning girls and boys of the IL board. We are getting slammed again with weather. There are a lot of school closings already being announced on the crawl on WGN. Please all stay safe and sound. Stay in if at all possible. I cannot stay in because they would send a squad for me to get into work even if I tried to call in.  I am only a 1/2 mile from work so it is not too bad of a walk. I probably will spend a lot of time in dispatch looking out the windows, I do not have any windows in my office at all - privacy issues with the computers and outsiders being able to see criminal historys or info on victims of crime. They are saying that the IL/WI border is going to get upwards of 14" and the southern 'burbs are not going to be left out either. I am going to pop up here in a couple of minutes and get ready for work. Other than that I do not have much going on in my world. Hopefully all the moms out there will not be pulling their hair out at the end of the day.  & Christine

Good morning!! Right now the weather is fine so it is the waiting game but all the schools have closed. I have to drive 20 minutes to work at 11 so we will see how the weather is then!! I have to work til 8 tonight and we never close!!

Good Mornin Christine and the rest of ILL, Not to much on my plate today. No school for me but the kids have it. so just getting them ready. If the weather holds off I am going to head over to the dr and see if what I have is Bronchitis. I hope they can give me something cause my surgery is Mon. Today I start my clear liquid diet, UGH!!  Take and be safe Measha

Hey Chris,  She gave me an inhaler and a 5 day z- pak. Then she said that if I dont feel better by friday I ll have to call and reschedule my surgery. I really dont think Ill have to do that cause I already feel somewhat better. Im gettin ready to head off to bed. Thanks for asking, measha.

Good morning IL.  Well my kids have school today, but I worry about them on the buses.  Austyn's school is only 1 mile away, but Tyler and Jacob have a 30 min bus ride and their school is out in the middle of a corn field.  If it was my choice they would stay home, but Mike doesn't think it's needed.  I am off anyway today and Mike is working from home. 

I am going to call the surgeon today and see when I can get in to have this dang lump removed, it really hurts and while it bugs me, the Dr's are all very happy that it's so close to the surface and hurts! LOL

Please everyone keep safe and don't go out if you don't have too, especially those of you who live north!!

Actually the buses will do fine because of their weight. They are better drivers than the bozo's in the cars.

Did you get into the doc for that lump?

That's true, I didn't even think about the weight of the buses.  The kids ended up all getting out early though anyway and were home by 12:30pm. 

I called the surgeon and they can't get me in until next Wednesday at 2pm.  Add another appt to my week...LOL

Well the weather down near me when I left for work was a cold rain.  No snow at all.  Downtown it is like frozen ice.  It hurt as I walked from the El to work.  At least I won't have to shovel this!  Todays is Ash Wednesday so I am taking my daughter to church tonight.  I feel with the upheaval in the family life right now (can't go in to it) she and I need God to look over us.  I keep having to be cleansed of sins before I get communion though.  I know I am not doing anything wrong, but just thoughts, but that can be a sin as well.  I have gotten to know my pastor really well lately. Hopefully my checks will come so I can get scrap booking supplies with my daughter tonight as well.  We will start doing that on Sunday.  She helped me vote last night so it was fun.  I need to get to bed earlier.  Last night it was after midnight before I finally fell asleep.  Once my insurance kicks in next month, I might need to talk to a doc to see if he can help me a bit.
