the official waiting game

I went for my psych consult today, and was told I appear ready to go forth mentally, go figure!  Now I just have to wait to see what the insurance says. It'll suck paying for all this pre-surgery stuff only to find out insurance won't cover it. My internist is sending my records to Dr. Haggerty today, so by the end of the week, the paperwork will go to the insurance. I'm gonna be a wrec****il I hear something. Hope everyone has a good day. Dear Allison: Congratulations on getting one step closer!  I know that the waiting is the hardest part (as Tom Petty says.....), but it will be over eventually. Try to stay busy, as that is really all you can do.  Keep a positive attitude too! Good luck!

Allison,  Hang in there. Before you know it, you will get your approval and then you'll be waiting for your surgery date. And then you'll be waiting for the first major weightloss "wow" and the the first major milestone and then, and then and then.... The waiting never ends, so just keep yourself busy doing things you love in the meantime. You'll get your approval. Good luck! Nicolle 

oh Allison sweetie, the waiting game sucks...I just finished it with great results though, I was approved last week, got my letter in the mail today!  It will happen, just hang in there

 

Just an FYI keep good records so you have something to go by with the ins. companies. This too will help down the road to have skin removal! Hang in there girl! Please feel free to email me if you have any questions.  Good Luck! It is so worth it!!!!!!

HIJACK - hello there. I see that you are a Dr Jeff patient as there are a few others on the board that are also. Do you come to support group on a regular basis? There is one this Thursday at the clinic offices, hope to see you there. There is going to be Dr Lisa Peters a PS there to speak.

No I have not gone to a support group in some time. I have tried to find out about them a few months ago and had no luck. What can you tell me about the groups that are being run now? Thanks

Yeah, I know the waiting sucks but you know what we always manage to get through it. Try to find something to occupy your mind between now and then. Come back and tell us what is going on. Christine
