Welcome new IL board members
I just wanted to say a big hello 
and welcome to all of the new members that have been popping up on the IL board here in the last several weeks. I love the fact that we have an "alive" board compared to some of the other state boards around us. Some of the other boards are so dead that you will see the same questions unanswered for days and no new topics appear either.
Feel free to drop into the daily roll call anytime because that is what it is there for, whether you are new or have been around for a while. That is how all of us have gotten to know one another. We also occasionally will get together here in the Chgo area. We haven't since last fall due to the weather, holidays and just plain busy lives of all. I also wanted to say to the people that really are not comfortable to come in and post either a new post or a post that is already going that that is okay also. You can lurk for as long as you would care to. All the rest of us were in your same shoes also and we understand. Feel free to ask anything you would like because that is how we all have learned about WLS. Someone will be able to answer your question eventually or will direct you for the info. You might see a lot of views to your question and no answers but do not dispare it is just because that person reading your question does not have an answer for you.
From all of the rest of the "regular" Lincoln Land board members we all welcome you. Whether you are from up north, central IL or downstate, pre op or PO we are still all Illinoians and we love one another. We even welcome board members that relocate and ones that pop in from another state with a question.

I can second that!!!!!
This is truly a wonderful group of people. Form the first day of lurking to asking questions, to venting regarding insurance and doctor issues, the wonderful people on this board have provided the feedback and support that was greatly appreciated.
They have done so much for me, I just don't think that a "thank you" could ever be enough.
So to all those new people out there, you are in the right place....
