Saturday Roll Call
Good morning boys and girls of Lincoln Land. Well, it looks like we have a resipite with the weather for a few days. If we are going to get anymore weather next week I hope it is early to mid week because Dave goes to TX for an interview on Friday.
What's cookn' this weekend for you all
Dave and I are leaving the house here in a while to meet up with Pam S and have breakfast with her. Then after that we are going to hang around Rockford for a while, shop, shop and shop. We do not buy much but love to do the walking. We go back to Wauconda for some friends from church 5 year old twins birthday. These are special kids as they had a hard time via invitro to concieve them and also almost lost them several times. Dave has a picture in his office of Hayden and Dave got to hold him in the NICU even before grandma got to hold him! Grandma & Grandpa are friends of ours also and Dave loves to rub that in about holding Hayden first. We are taking the picture for Hayden to see.
Not much for us tomorrow as we will be staying home for the big game. We have left over pizza from last night. I will pop that in the oven (regular, not micro) to heat and it comes out almost as good as fresh.
Well, need to go.

Christine

Good morning Chris, Dee and IL members,
Chris...you are a busy bee!! And I admire that you and Dave are living life to the fullest. Best of luck to Dave with his interview.
Dee...You are allowed to feel out of sorts every now and then....I have times when I just need to stay away from everyone and need time to get myself together.
As for this weekend..Yesterday we had a lot of fun at the museum....very beautiful pieces of carved stones, etc...and of course I bought some little trinkets at the gift shop. The best part was our 4 year old friend was along and decided that we needed to go to the playground and slide down the slide together....It was a fun time, even though we were in snow up to our knees.
So far, today..I have already spent the morning cleaning parrot cages and giving baths to the two stinky dogs. I have bellydance class later this morning and then off for some fun with my girlfriends...who knows what antics they have planned..I think I heard something about a wine/chocolate tasting tonight. I like to socialize, but may have to bow out of that one...not a good choice for this gal.
As for Sunday....we have the Big Band concert and then probably to my brother's house for Super Bowl. I really am enjoying my vacation so far...and there are much more fun activities planned.
have a great day!
Revision on 04/19/13
Good Morning Chris and Dee.
Chris, it seems like you have nice plans for today and tomorrow. We went for pizza last night too, and brought home a good chunk of it. This was the first time I have had pizza since I was banded in October. I ate a medium slice, and that was it. What a big change! I used to be able to eat 1/2 of a large, now 1 slice of a medium. Who would of thunk!
Dee, your snow ought to be melting good by now. That is one thing I miss about southern Illinois, it is a good bit warmer in the winter then up north here. But then again, its warmer in the summer too.
Today is my day to devote to the income taxes. I think I have them under control, so we will see. DH is working, so it will be quiet in the house. No TV , radio or power tools to distract me.
Tomorrow, if we watch the game, it will only be for the commerials. Neither of us follow football. DH is only interested in it ifits the Packers or Bears in the Superbowl.
Even with clouds today, it is suppose to be a bit warmer. That translates to melting snow.
Spring will come!
Happy Groundhog Day.
Hugs

Good Morning my IL Friends! It's a good day! lol I think there will be a lot of good days for me now.
Today we are heading to Rockford for my great nephew's 4th birthday. that will be an all day thing. I love getting together with my family and I get to share my news with them too!
Tomorrow I have no idea besides laundry what I am doing. I know Tyler has a birthday party/super bowl party to go to in the evening and that's about it.
I hope everyone has a great day and stays safe.
No plans for the weekend. I'm actually looking forward to some quiet time. I do have to work some more on the wallpaper but other then that, I'm gonna be lazy all weekend.
Calvin will be watching the ball game tomorrow and I'll probably pop in every so often but other then that, maybe a good book is calling my name.
Have a great day everyone and stay warrm
