Not Losing...HELP

If you are truly concerned call your doctor. But from where I'm sitting, 35lbs lost in 7 weeks is wonderful. That's about a pound a day and that is right on schedule from what I was told before I had my WLS.
Now as you know, everyone is different and there will be those that loose faster and there will be those that loose slower.
What you need to remember is, this is NOT a race. Your body will respond if you are following the rules. Protien first, no drinking when eating, get you fluids in and excersise.
If you are doing all that the weight will come off.
Regards and hugs,
Ronna

I think you mis-read.... 35# in 13 weeks.
As for drinking when eating, I don't, but... it's because of getting full on liquids instead of food...correct? If I drink liquids while eating, it makes me sick....
I know I am not a patient person and I look at the before and afters... and I want that NOW...
even though I know that it takes time. I am just getting so down... but I know it will take time and I need to stick with the program...
thanks for the post..

My doctor told me never ever to drink while eating not because you fill up on liquid, but because it washes the food out of your mini stomach and you then eat more and you dont lose because you are taking in more than you should due to the liquid washing out your pouch and feeling hungry and eating more.

you are gaining muscles and loosing inches you need to
mesure yourself to know your transition it happen to me as you say co-worker are seiing
the difference don't give up you eventually lose gaining muscles burn fat

It sounds like inches are coming off and you're gaining muscle. Any chance you have old measurements to compare it against? If not, grab a tape measure and do it today, so you have something to compare today's body against next month. Maybe your trainer can help?
Hang in there!

Type 2 diabetes and sleep apnea GONE!
I was reading on the main forum that sometimes if people only have 80-100 pounds to lose, that sometimes they have a harder time getting off the weight. Not sure what your pre-surgery weight was, but maybe that has something to do with it. Has anyone else found that to be true? I am hoping to have my by-pass done in the next 2 months, if the insurance approves it.

Allison,
No two people are alike. Some lose very quickly and some lose very slowly. I am over a year out and I have not lost 100 pounds yet. I need to lose quite a bit more. I no longer worry that I am not losing like everyone else, because I am like no one else. I am like me and will lose at the rate my body chooses to. At first it was depressing, but no longer. Every pound lost is one that would not have happened without surgery.
