Relieved step 1 is out of the way!

Hi all! Went to my first consult with the surgeon and he said I was definitely a canidate. Now all I need to do is get a psych consult and my meeting with a dietician set up. After that he will send the paperwork into the insurance. I hope I can get the appointments in the near future to get things going faster. Whew, what a huge worry off my chest, now just to get thru the insurance approval. Anybody had to deal with United Healthcare before? MY BMI was 39.1 with 2 co-morbids. Freaking out the insurance might not go for it cause they ask for a BMI of 40. Allison

Glad your appointment went well.  I really don't know anything about the bmi issue but I wish you all the luck.  You're moving in the right direction to a healthier you. Christina
