Ok, I know it's only January but I am sick of this weather already  It was suppose to warm up this week and it was 9 below and the wind chill is now 30 below.  I need to go out and get some stuff for my trip but there is no way I am going out in this cold I was not feeling so great yesterday so I took an easy.  Today I am just going to do some time on the treadmill and then some core.  Just wanted to say I have seen such a progress in everyone.  Sometimes we get so wrapped up in the day to day workout we forget to log what we do.  Be sure and do so as you will see, how well you are doing So my friends, Did You Move To Lose and or Maintain Today?  Let's get the blood flowing to stay warm. And if you are lucky enough to live where it's warm then I have one thing to say to you Take care, Kathy

It was hard since it was so cold this morning but I did it!! 45 min of cardio and Im glad that I did. It gives me energy for the day

I am so with you. On mornings like this we want to pull the covers up over our head and  not get up... But, that is why we can workout at home  We don't have to leave to get a good workout. Awesome job!!! Take care, Kathy

Hi Kathy - Well....... I did it.  After leaving work last night I had to go  home and let my girls out or they would be crossing their legs wondering why mommy did not come home.  (I have three labs)  I tried to talk myself out of going to the gym.. it's so freakin cold.  Then I drove to the gym and circled the parking lot for 10 min trying to talk myself out of going in because there was so many people there.  Well, I bit the bullet and went in, had a good workout and felt pretty darn good afterwards.  The head games are terrible.  I know I feel so much better when I'm into a routine so why do I drag my feet?   I'll be working out again tonight.  On Monday morning I have an appointmen****rainer to put a plan into action so I can get the last of these 35lbs off.

Oh Christina, I sooooooo understand exactly what you are feeling and thinking.  I am not sure why we get off track.  For me I was going through a bad time and I think I was feeling sorry for myself and for some reason mentally I knew working out and eating was Good for me.  So, to feel sorry for myself, I didn't do what was good for me.  Now don't ask me to explain that one as I don't have a degree, but we do get in that weird thinking sometimes. I KNOW, when I workout I feel so much better.  I can handle stress and such better.  I did the same thing one night (are you going to the LIfeTime over by the movie theaters).  It was so busy and I thought UGH.  Then I said, well hell if they can do it I can.... Kudos for you doing this and girl it's been so cold so double kudos for going out last night I just love Labs!!!  My ex boss has 3 and they are just the best dogs.  Be sure and get in touch with Jim about the job. You sound like you would love it. Call me any time you want to talk.  I am not that far away. Take care, Kathy

It's that "stinkin thinkin" that gets the best of me.  I was having a poor me pitiful me party for the month of Dec & most of Jan but I'm determined to get back on track.  I wish I could aford Life Time but instead I opted for Planet Fitness in Naperville off of Ogden.  It's only $10. a month and free group training sessions which consist of a max of 4 to a group.  It's really a nice facility.  Not gooch like Life Time but it gets the job done. Still considering the p/t time job.  I work p/t waitressing in the evenings but I'm always looking for a different opportunity. Take Care, Christina

You will have to come with me some time for a free session at the boxing place.  It's the bomb for when you are feeling down and stressed.  Imagine beating the crap out of something and not hurting anyone.  They do have the sparring, but I have no desire to hit someone and or be hit, but there is something empowering about that boxing and kickboxing.  Let me know if you are interested...  It's over on 59 by 83rd street in Naperville.!!!
