Jobs Openings in the Rockford Area...
Hey ladies and gentleman... I am starting a job hunt in the Rockford area! Does anyone know anyone looking for a office "clerk". I have worked as a patient services clerk for 5yrs and the clinic that I work for is not doing soo hot. And they are super mean... so I think it is time to find a healthier job as well.
Thanks
Gina
The College of Medicine often has clerk jobs, both in the college and in the clinics. 815-395-5863 is one of the numbers in HR. You have to take a civil service test first, so take the test and get your scores on record and then you can apply for anything you are interested in. Great benefits!

Gina,
May I suggest that you apply with temp/stafffing agencies. This is how I usually find my jobs, I work at a place as a temp or temp to perm. If I like the place great, if not then I just move on. The only problem with working this route is if you need the benefits. But, I thought I would share this thought with you.
Also, try using Career Builder. com or Monster. com to look at postings, and post your resume.
Thank you also Wendy -
I have work right now... so I don't think that temping is right for me right now. I have worked as temp a few years ago and I really enjoyed it. I have worked at this clinic for 5yrs now...and I got yelled at again for something stupid. They are really good at yelling. But they keep going back to when I took time off for my surgery and then my son was sick yesterday..oh well...I am just tired of it. How can I work on being healthier if I don't do something about my unhealthy work life.
Sorry to vent :)
Have a great night :)
Gina
Hi Gina -
I can't help you out w/ a job but wanted to let you know I feel your pain. You are right, if we want to get healthy it involves all aspects of our lives. I'm struggling with the same crap at work and think it's time to move on or at least loo****il I find something else. In the meantime, hang in there.
