Wednesday Roll Call

Greetings Everyone - As I expected, today has been miserable for me.  It's my first day back to work after being off nearly 7weeks due to my foot surgery.  Of course the way my boss repays me for being off is to move me from a nice office away from all the bs into a completely open work space w/ a bunch of bi#chy women.  And then to make things even worse, took all of my job responsiblities away from me and tells me he has a new project for me but can't really explain what it is so in the mean time, I'm to just read my e-mails.  He is so predicable.  I really just have to put a smile on my face and say, ok, that sounds great and do you need your a$$ whiped now or later?  Sorry, he makes me sick.  But, I have to have a job w/ benefits so for now I just have to suck it up. Hello everyone, things are still slow going here. Just cleaning up the house a little and then nothing. Just trying to stay warm. 

Been home now from work for about 1/2 hour. I was going to go to the grocery and Target but decided to wait until tomorrow, ick snow. I walked right past Irving Park Rd where I needed to drive to the grocery and it looked slick. I am not going to starve - the shopping can wait. There is plenty in the freezer. I just was getting tired of defrosting fully cooked meals that Dave makes to eat. I thought if I put some effort into cooking something then I would have more variety. I am getting totally bored with frozen chili, chicken soup and other stuff. So, onto plan B which is to continue with the straightening out of the basement which I put on hold for about a week. Well just able to get online now.... had a hair appt this morning,  then went to Costco to return and exchange my xmas gift from dh.... it was defective.      Picked the kids up from school and then took Cassidy to gymnastics.   My neighbor will pick her up and then both kids go to ccd  tonight at 6.    OMG  just typing all this is making me tired. Yesterday took a ride to Woodmans grocery store to check it out, now I admit it... I am hooked!   Its only about a 15 minute ride from me and well worth the ride.  I saved a ton.  The best part is I got a jar of protein powder mix for $7!   I was astonished.  I swear I was going to run out of the place like the lady in the Ikea commercial.  I do admit I was over whelmed after a while and was walking around like a dear in the headlights.   I have never seen so much cereal in my life!    I am looking forward to sitting in my chair with my feet up later.    Tommorrow I am cleaning house and doing laundry.  Oh and shuttling my kids around to various activities.   Try to stay warm everyone!
