Mondays Roll Call

Afternoon IL!  Yep I am at work today as well.  It was cold out but I did walk to work again from the train.  I also now have a clean face.  I shaved off my goate.  I said I would do that when I hit a certain weight, and I crossed that last Friday. Oh yeah my second favorite team won last night (ANYONE who plays the Packers).  So it was a good night!

I was at work but get President's Day off when many others do not. Are you thinking of the speech that MLK made about "I Have Been To The Mountaintop" or the I have a dream? He made the I have been to the mountain top speech the day before he was shot, April 3rd, 1968 in Memphis. The I have a dream was given on the 28th of August in 63 at the Lincoln Memorial in Wash DC. I heard a clip of the mountaintop speech at Willow Creek on Saturday (either one of those speeches are usually included into our service every year on MLK weekend). We had one of the choirs from Rev Meeks church (Salem Baptist) there, man can they sing and are wonderful genuine people. I loved serving them lunch. My day was not too busy. I got all of my things done that I needed to do. Christine

Christine, I  was talking about "I have a dream" speech.  I don't think I have ever heard "I Have Been To The Mountaintop" speech.  I am going to have to google it.  Thank you for enlightening me. ~Michelle
