Hello! Today is the first day on this board and I have a concult with Dr. Oliphant at Carle Hospital in Champaign IL. Does anyone have any feedback for me on him? I would greatly appreciate it!

Hello - I had my surgery with Dr. Oliphant on November 8th. I've lost 51 lbs so far. Dr. Oliphant is a fabulous surgeon. He takes very good care of his WLS patients. He is very upfront about what the risks are and that it is only a "tool" to help you lose weight, you have to follow the rules. He will only do the RNY surgery, and you will be in the hospital for 4 days. He will have you up and moving the night of surgery. I was a little sore, but no problems at all.
