Hello, I am considering moving to the Chicago area to be a high school administrator.  I am currently licensed in Colorado, Kansas, and Nebraska.  Can you point me in the right direction for licensure in Illinois?  thanks for any info any of you may have.

Though I am not a teacher, I think you might want to check with the state department of education.  They could point you in the right direction.  www.isbe.net

IF I make this move, it will most likely be Chicago Public Schools.  Does the district make a difference?  Thanks

Just curious. We in Itasca have some of the highest paid district teachers in the area for the grade school (District 10), western 'burbs that is. Be careful with where your teaching position will be in Chicago because you could get placed in a ghetto school. I think that the CPS is the largest school district in the state of IL. Chris

I teach in a small district in the middle of the state, isbe.net is the site you will need to look at. There is also a job bank for vacancies in Illinois you may want to take a look at.  It's  http://www.illinoiseducationjobbank.org/pages/ Mendy
