My name is Gina and I have been lurking for quite awhile now. I finally got the courage to step out
tonight while I am at work. I live in Aurora and have had my lapband since March 15, 2007. For the most part I LOVE my band - although it can be fickle (alot of the time). I came here b/c you all seem so friendly and supportive and I have decided that I need ALOT of support. So far I have lost
52 pounds and I feel great. I would love to also lend support if needed. I am an RN and I work very part time b/c I am also a full time mommy to 2 very spirited soon to be 8 year olds.

Welcome to the IL board and congrats on your wl. You will find this group to be such a great support system. We are all going thru or have gone thru or will be going thru a lot of the same things so it's really nice to be able to bounce things off one another. Not to mention just the day to day stuff that comes up in life.
Glad you stopped in and hope you stick around.

Success begins with wise choices I make,I will not let noncompliance be my mistake, The surgery I had was to assist me in changes. My compliance is for a success long range, So I will think before I decide to cheat. Remember the goals I want to meet. For this surgery is not something I was force to do It was what I wanted for a healthy life!
Hi Gina and welcome to the board! I live in North Aurora and am still pre op. My ins paperwork should be submitted sometime this week so we shall see what happens.
