Michelle, I ended up with a wound infection at the drainage site.  Call your surgeon.  I waited and got so sick.  I was up all night vomiting uncontrollably and ended in the ER and was hospitalized for 5 more days. Call your surgeon!  Hope it's nothing.
Regards and hugs,

Ronna

I took everyones advice and called the surgeon.  I spoke to the nurse who said that if I'm not running a fever and there isn't a foul smell coming from it then it should be fine.  I have the tube removed on Tuesday.

I have been feeling amazing lately and getting out running errands and trying to get my walking in.  Yesterday, we went to the movies and I didn't think I would make it all the way through.  Luckily, we were sitting in those chairs that the arms move up.  Hubby asked if I wanted to lay down, so I just leaned on him.  I couldn't have been happier to get to the car and just fall immediatly to sleep.  Maybe it had something to do with the stairs in the theatre, but I was drained.  Btw, I do recommend seeing National Treasure II.  It was good.

Good Morning Pam & the IL Board, Happy Saturday!!!  I have a day of cleaning and laundry as I left it over the weekend and did not want to spend New Years Day doing laundry.  Once I am done, I have some cleaning to do, I am now the owner of a Dyson DC17 Animal vac.  It has major sucking power, but man is that thing heavy after years of an Orek. I bought it at Linens N Things and used one of their 20% off coupons which knocked over $100.0off the price.  Watch for those coupons, Pam :-) After that, I am headed off to the health club I joined again for 2008 and my goal is to get there 3 times per week minimum.   They have a nice indoor track that has a wall of glass over looking a park, you get the feel of being outside without the cold and ice. Tomorrow I plan on going again and then hitting the books for school. Lucy - How are you doing ? Good Luck to Calvin on Monday with his surgery, and good luck to nurse Christina :-)   Chris and Dave- Have a wonderful party, the weather will be good so your 3 season room will be perfect. Kim- Hang in there, we all understand how you feel with the rejection.  Stay positive and we will all think positive vibes for you. Best of luck to anyone having surgery that I forgot and for those newbies post surgery, hang in there it gets better.  Though I will say that I still never want Chicken broth as long as I live :-)   Everyone have a great weekend. Mary

I love my Dyson Animal DC17 and yes the suction is fantastic. I had an almost disaster with mine near my Christmas tree. I was cleaning up the stray needle from the tree right after I finished decorating the tree and the vacuum exhaust was pointed towards the tree and made a mess of it. I took me just as long to fix the tinsel as it did for me to put it on originally. Compared to an Oreak, yeah they are heavier but are only 20.50#. Chris

Thanks for the tip Mary.....I am going to "invest" into a Dyson soon!  Christine had me sold on it once I found out that she nearly sucked her Christmas tree with it!  LOL

Good Morning everyone!  Not much going on around  here today.  Mike and I are trying to figure out some money issues right now and then I have to run to the post office to mail my medical records to Michelle at the Kane Group!!  Hopefully I can go grocery shopping too.

With this warmer weather and the snow melting the dogs will be huge messes when they go out....LOL  We'll be busy making sure they get wiped up before going on the carpets, that's for sure....lol

I have homework, some light cleaning, working out and just playing around today.  Nothing else exciting.

Does anyone know how long it takes for Michelle to send the paperwork in once she's got everything?  Can ya tell I am nervous/excited here?  lol

Have a wonderful day everyone!!!

Monica

Good Afternoon Everyone!!!

Well, on my agenda today is to get some housework done and then see if I can get a headstart on some homework as classes pickup again on Tuesday.

I have been feeling really great, and I have lost 7lbs since surgery.  I stepped on my new bathroom scale this morning, and it said I lost three pounds overnight.....I don't think so!  But, is it possible?  I hate these types of days they are always so dreary and ucky. I might have my DH take me over to Gurnee and get some walking done.  I am even going to try and put on real clothes as I have been living in my sweats for the last week.  I have made an excel spreadsheet to track my weight and measurements, and I am finishing up one of the graphs for tracking BMI. So if any one would like a copy of it, let me know by PM with your email address and I will forward it to you.

Well, I am off and running as I have many things to do before returning to work on Monday

Wendi

Yes, it is possible to loose 3# overnight. Sometimes the scale would show a 2# loss by the time the afternoon rolled around. It was just amazing to weigh myself in the morning and then by the afternoon I had dropped weight. Now, it did not happen everyday but this usually was the norm for me several days out of the week for close to two months PO. Gurnee mall is great for walking because the hallways just keep going and going and going . . . you sometimes wonder when it is going to get to the other end. Chris
