Kim, any time you want to do coffee give me a call, I am so sorry about that denial again!  Sounds like Ryan's trying to help you though....Like everyone else said we are here to support you! Martha....is your trainer cute?   Can you bring friends? Where's my friend Miss Lucy?  MIA also? Christina,is Calvin ready for the 8th? Well it sounds like it's going to be so nice today.....heat wave compared to what we've had.  So what is everyone else doing?  Christine is having her party, is this the last one? Everyone have a nice day.

Good Morning Pam and the rest of the Illinois Board, Not sure what everyone else has planned for this weekend, but I am already off and running. I need to go to the hopital for my 3 month blood test. Then stop for a few groceries that I forgot yesterday. Then come home and dust the house,  Noting to exciting. Yesterday I went to Rock Falls for some trainig. Don't mind the training, but the commute is horrid. It 2 hours of no interstate, just 2 lane roads.  Weare getting a few sprinkles. With the warmup, it will be a mess outside. At least with the cold the snow stays white. Hugs

Yes, this will probably be the last party of this size for the year. We like to have small get togethers with close friends. We say we are going to do them and then we get so busy with functions and church outside the house. Some of them happen but not as many as we would like. We have a fantastic dining room and it does not get used enough. We are planning on going to the Dells over President's Day in Feb and stay at Chula Vista again. I want to go to the spa there again and there is so much to do just on the complex with the access to the waterpark. They have an underground tunnel from the hotel area so you do not have to go out in the cold.  Well, need to fly. Chris

Hi Illinois! Errands this morning. My lovely cell phone is acting up again so the first stop is at Verizon. When I answer the phone no one can hear me. I've had the instruction book out and can't figure out what is wrong. I guess I need a teenager!

Then off to Border's--my home away from home! The rest of the day I guess I'll watch the snow melt. I don't want the snow to go away because it is so protective for the landscaping. The winters we have little snow are so tough on the yard!

Glad everyone is OK after the holidays and back on line!

Good morning everyone,

Today is my first crappy day since surgery.  I have no energy whatsoever and when I drink water it makes me nautious.  On top of that my insision that still has my drainage tube in it doesn't look that good to me.  I can't tell if it's just soft tissue in it or puss, although the color looks fine.  I'm just having hubby take me to acute care to have it checked out just to be safe.  He keeps telling me to call the dr, but I figure the dr will just want me to see someone anyway.  Did anyone else have white stringy stuff in their drainage?  I keep questioning myself if I am overreacting or what.  I have always been a believer of safe than sorry, so as soon as he gets ready were leaving.

Hope everyone has a great day and enjoys this heat wave.

~Michelle

Hi Michelle, I did not have drain tubes, so I can't help you there.  If it is clear or looks a bit pinki**** is okay.  I had a few bouts with small leakage from my incision after the staples were removed.  I banged myself against the steering wheel getting out of the car going to get the staples out, I saw stars. Call your doctor and let him tell you what to do, he really knows best.  The acute care may not be familiar with your surgery and they will most likely have to call your doctor.  Don't worry about cvalling them, it is their job and is what we pay them for. Best Wishes, Mary

You should not have that in your drainage. The color really is not fine if looks like soft tissue or puss. It should be more of the light reddish to pinky clear. You might sometimes have bloody blobs of tissue. I had that with my plastic surgeries but it eventually went away and changed to the a pinky color and just fluid. Your DH is correct you should call Dr Rantis. My husband just saw him at a pre surg seminar so he is available today. Yes, he might tell you to go to urgent care but let him make that decision. And tell him about how you are feeling and what is going on with the nausea. He can call in a script for it. I still get nausea when I drink water too fast after 4+ years.  But you are really early out and he can give you something to take that away. Christine
