Hi Everyone, I Have a Question

I am seriously thinking about getting surgery done.  The problem is I have Medicaid.  I saw the post on doctors that take Medicaid.  I was hoping that there were some more.  I live 6 hrs from Chicago and only 2 hrs from Peoria.  The doctors in Peoria don't accept people from my area code.  Isn't  that crazy.  My area code is 217.  Is there anybody from the 217 area that has found a doctor to take them?  I need to get this done for myself.  I have a 15 yr old son who has CP and is total dependant care.  I need to be around to take care of him.

what kind of surgery would you be up for?  I know several places will do a self pay option.while it isn't the best, it can be the fastest and also for the price of a car, you can save your life, a car in 5 years will just needed to be traded in

Do a search on the internet because here in Joliet @ silver cross, I know my doctor sayd that medicaid pays for it...So there has to be somewhere near you...

 Dr. C. Joyce did my surgery 31/2 years ago, medicare paid all but 800 bucks of my surgery. I had a friend that has medicaid, she tried to get surgery with Dr. Joyce however, Silver Cross doesn't accept medicaid for WLS. My friend had to go to Loyola univerisity  b/c they accepted medicaid.

lartam95 try Loyola hospital in Maywood, IL.  My friend  had WLS at Loyola hospital with medicaid ins.
