New Lapband and struggling
Are you getting enough protein? 60-80 Grams? That should help the hunger. Are you still supposed to be on puree? There's a lot of difference in what docs suggest. I would suggest eating all your protein first and look for protein that you can eat in soft foods--maybe yogurt, cottage cheese, lowfat yogurt. Hang in there, it gets better.

Connie is right eat the protein first. The cottage cheese, yogurt, protein shakes ,you can also puree soups. Yes you will be hungery because you really have no restriction yet. The swelling has gone down and you have the same feelings as before. The restriction comes with fills, at this stage my dr told me it is very important to follow the 6 1/2 cup meals daily. I spaced them to about every 2 hrs. Mostly protein since it stays with you longer. I would always have at least 4 to 6 oz water, crystal light, any SF drink and Caffine free in between those meals to keep the fullness. Yes it is normal to feel so hungery. Have patients it will get better.... Welcome to Bandster Hell !!!!!!!!!!!

Michelle,
If you feel it is unusual, contact Galvani's office (DayOne Health I believe). I am a Shayani patient who is also there and their nurse is fantastic. I ma sure you met her, but she is also a bandster. She knows what should be happening both as a medical professional AND personally. Call her if you feel things just aren't right. Private message me if you need her number (I have called her a few times for what I though were silly things and she put me at ease about it all).
