Tomorrow's the big day!
Hello everyone!
Tomorrow is my big surgery day, and I can't wait to be a loser! I've been lurking on the Illinois board for awhile now, and all of you have been so inspiring to me. It's been so great to hear how successful so many of you have been. It's really kept me going through the long insurance approval process! Does anyone here attend the post-op support group through the Kane Center? I'm looking forward to meeting more people who have gone through this process. Lea

Hello and WOOHOO for you and tomorrow being your day. Dr Wallace was my DH's assisting doc for his WLS, you are in good hands. What surgery are you having and how long do you think you will be in and which hospital? If you are there over Sunday or Monday I can come up for a fast visit. I am just south of Elk Grove and not too far from Hoffman.
I think Ronna and Lucy go to the PO support groups.

Lea,
As today is your big day, I wish you the best. All of the dr's at the Kane group are fabulous. I hope to attend as many group meetings before I have to go to work. Otherwise, I work on Saturdays and it makes it impossable to attend.
Christine,
Now that you mention your husband and I see his picture. I met him at an orientation class with Dr Wallace. He was very interesting to listen to. Since my husband hopes to have the surgery this year as well, I have a ton of questions relating to couples having wls together. We'll have to talk soon.

Hi Lisa!
I'm glad you've come out of hiding! I do attend the post-op group meetings and Lucy M has been attending as well.
The next one is scheduled for January 19th. They have changed them to Saturday late morning instead of Friday evening.
Don't know if you'll be able to make it then but if not I will look for you...or you can look for me as you don't have a picture posted...at the February meeting.
Best wishes for an uneventful surgery and a smooth and easy recovery!!!
Regards and hugs,
Ronna
