Monday Roll Call
Happy New Years Eve a little early to one and all. I hope everyone has had a restful holiday season, whatever holiday that you are celebrating, just keep making memories with your loved ones because that is so important.
We have some travelers today going up to West Bend for a funeral. Keep Monica and her family in your prayers. We also have Wendi getting her get out of jail card at about noon today, tell your husband to not hit too many bumps in the road on the way home so your tummy does not hurt. We also have some members that are just staying locally to their house for dinner and house party fun. Enjoy yourselves one and all. Then we have some members that have been so busy with out of town guests like Christina and Calvin. Christina how is the foot healing and is Calvin getting excited for next week's surgery? Lucy we are thinking of you as you try to get back on track and are adjusting to your new meds. Janet has also had her hands full with Eddie and his recovery. Janet besure to take time for yourself also. Then we have a whole bunch of new members that are springing up on the board and asking questions, how great to have some new people around. If you have not seen some of their posts look back a couple of days and see if you can answer any of their questions. If you cannot help try to drop an encouraging note of welcome.
Well, I need to get ready for work. Have a safe holiday everyone. Do not
too hard.
Christine

Good Morning Christine and everyone.
I too am getting ready to go to work. Here in the center of town we are not getting any fog, but DH works about 2 miles from here and he is saying the fog is thicker then pea soup. Everyone be careful today and get where you are going safely.
I am hoping for a quiet work day, so I can get home on time for a change.
I Hope Monica and her family have a safe journey today. Wendi too.Is Michell going home today also?
Hapy New Year!
Good Morning all. I thought I would check in before we hit the road. I hope this fog lifts soon, it's really thick here. I hate driving in this stuff. the kids are already fighting about every little thing, so this drive to West Bend will be fun I am sure.
Everyone stay safe and have fun with whatever you do!!
Love to each and every one of you
Good morning and Happy New Year to all!
I am working today and the fog was so thick out by my house that I actually got disoriented and took a wrong turn, making me 10 minutes late!
After work today, I will head home to get ready for our fondue party with the neighbors. It should be fun, and Amber and Riley are actually talking of coming out and spending the night! We will have a houseful!
Olivia, one of my friends and I went to Madison yesterday to drop off all the stuff the Boy Scouts collected for the Ronald McDonald house before Christmas. Due to weather and Todd being sick, it was not getting done, so I took the opportunity to go up there. We had lunch at Flat Top Grill and then went to Trader Joe's. It was a nice time, but it was foggy all the way up there. I know that Monica and her family will travel carefully in the same conditions today.
Glad to see that Wendi is doing well and will be home soon. I am also assuming the same is true of Michelle?
Lucy, I'm glad to see that you are doing a bit better. Keep at it, it will get easier.
Pam, great to see you as always! I did go home an hour early on Friday, and the roads weren't as bad as I anticipated. I was traveling in that small window when it stopped snowing for about an hour.
Kim, good to see you too. How is the sinus flushing working out for you?
Also glad to see Barry posting. We LOVE newbies!
Everyone have a fun, safe and Happy New Year's eve. We all have great things to look forward to in the coming year!

Happy New Year's Eve Illinois!
We are having friends for dinner and then playing board games. It probably won't be a late night. One year we did this and watched the New York celebration so we could say "Happy New Year" and give it up and go to bed.
Just finished reading a book about the Story Corps project which I've listened to on NPR. It's a fairly fast read but touching and inspirational too. I also read a book about the "This I believe" project and now I want to be involved with both projects. I enjoy being challenged to think.
Have a great day (and a safe day) folks!

Wow I didn't realize that work was closing at noon today! Talk about a bonus! It has been quiet here, but I also think that might be for the fact of my cold that is going away, but as it is leaving decided to block my right ear. I can't hear anything on that side. I say complaints go in the right ear, compliments go in the left. :) That will keep me happy today :)
Thank you everyone for such a warm welcome. I was nervous about jumping in (and knowing how I am, when I jump in, I don't do it quietly) but you have all made me feel welcome. I will be telling anyone I know who is looking at weight loss surgery about this site. It is a fantastic resource no matter where you are in the process. I wish I would have known about it before my surgery.
Speaking of which, I missed my year end goal by 1 pound! I am not getting down though. When the year started, it was my obscene goal. You know the one that you make that you KNOW you won't achieve but you use to push yourself, well I almost did it. 1 pound. I am pretty happy about that one!
Everyone have a safe and HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!!!
For those who just has surgery or will in the next couple of weeks, HAPPY NEW YOU!!!!
HI CHRISTINE AND ALL OF ILLINOIS. MY PRAYERS GOING OUT FOR EVERYONE, TO HAVE A SAFE JOURNEY WHEREVER IT MAY BE. PRAYERS FOR THOSE WHO HAVE LOST A LOVED ONE. PRAYERS FOR THOSE STRUGGLING WITH ILLINESS AND FOR, THERE WEIGHT LOSS SURGERY. MY WISHES FOR ALL TO HAVE A HEALTHY AND HAPPY NEW YEAR. MANY BLESSINGS. I AM GRATEFUL TO ALL OF YOU FOR YOUR CONTINUED SUPPORT THROUGH THE NEW YEAR.
Happy New Year Illinois!
I was up and out early this morning. I drove (felt like swam0 through the dense fog to the hair salon. I was suppose to get a haircut on Friday but had to cancel due to the snowstorm so I had to go this moring. Starting the new job in just 2 days
I am so much a mix of emotions....scared silly but so excited too. I am all ready to go, have been doing a lot of shopping the last two weeks (can't wear my typical jeans and a sweatshirt to the office) which has been so much fun
Just relaxing a bit this afternoon and then later will be going out to the movies and then to dinner.
I wish everyone health, wealth and happiness in 2008!

Regards and hugs,
Ronna
