The best news of my life......
I just got the best news of my life.
I've been approved for surgery. It's been a stressful road trying to find someone to take my insurance- but I finally did it. The Peoria Surgical group not only is accepting my insurance for the surgery, but they also waived the 500$ fee for the classes I have to take. It's looking like I will have my surgery sometime this summer.
OMG.. I am SO excited. They were originally having thoughts about doing it because I live in Chicago, even though I am in Peoria 9 mnths out of the year. They thought I would be a flight risk, and show up or do follow ups through their hospital. But I wrote this big long letter stating how much i needed this, and how willing I was to do everything that needed to be done. To think,, by this time next year I will be a whole new person!!!! It's so hard to fathom. When you have been this way for so long- especially through my teenage years- you forget what it is like to live and have fun.
I'm so ready for this change.
I don't ever think I wanted to be a "Loser" more than I do now. I'm ready for my life to begin. Good bye ugly ill-fitting clothes, uncomfortable movie theater seats, and awkward stares.....
