Morning everyone.  Well I think my cold is finally subsiding.  It was nearly unbareable on Wednesday at work (which is a new job, so I couldn't call in sick).  Now it is just a slight sore throat and a cough (which sounds worse than it really is) and post nasal drip.  I wish I could just hang out here at the house today, but the wife wants to go shopping again, and I thought the holidays were over. Well time to finish the laundry and maybe get dressed.  At least I got to sleep in today :)  Have a good one everyone!

Hey Illinois! Those vacuum cleaners sound interesting! I know my daughter bought one when she had a dog. I do remember reading in Consumer Reports that they don't really have as much suction as they say. I think there was another brand under $175 that was better--just in case you are interested. Glad everyone is getting back to normal. I'm enjoying the snow from inside the house and looking forward to reading this afternoon. Connie

Connie, the Dyson really does have the suction power that it says it has. I think the Dirt Devil of the same style is supposed to be really good also. I never have had a vacuum that when you use the hose attachments have as fantastic of suction power as this one does. My husband's shop vac probably has more suction but that is too clunky to cart around. I can keep the vacuum on my Dyson on the hall floor of the steps going up to my second floor and the hose reaches all the way up to the top step.Plus it does go from different levels of flooring easily. My old Hoover upright was a piece of junk compared to this one. Plus it is English made so the instructions all made sense when you read them, they were not translated from a foreign language to English. Chris

Well another Saturday and the wife is shopping.  I got a Nintendo Wii for Christmas, so I installed that, and WOW does it give you a work out!  Almost like a home gym in your house!  That was just the starter pack as well.  I have yet to get any games for it.  Yeah I sound like a geeky boy, but I only asked for this because I heard it gives you a work out.  Boy was that report right! The snow didn't hit us hard yesterday so I didn't have to go outside.  I am still getting over the SECOND cold of December.  This one is a mean one as well.  I think I am almost done with it, but I hope to be totally done by Monday. I hope today is going better for the rest of you Illinoisians :)

Good evening Illinois! I am just a few hours late at the roll call. I took the whole day off, never got out of the PJ'S except to shower. Went to see Dr.Rosen on Thursday for a fill, stayed the night up there and started back home about 11:30 yesterday morning. the snow was heavy at times. got home about 2:30pm. I have had a 8 pound loss since Sept. Not alot but only a couple pounds away from Onederland. I go back in four weeks if I need anything otherwise I will go back in March for my 1 year check up. I most likely will not make support group for the next couple months, its hard to get away from work at this time.... I did log on to Dr Rosens web page to see the pictures from the Christmas party. They were all great.  If I don't get back on for a few days I want to say HAPPY NEW YEAR to all! good luck to all the new losers and good luck to the future losers. May the New Year be a losing one to all!!!!!!!!!!!! Karen

Hi Everyone! Chiming in very late here.  I lost my internet connection a couple of days ago and it just came back on. Of course as I had a service call scheduled for tomorrow.  Guess that's the trick Anyway, been very busy. My brother has been from Houston all week and we have been running around visiting relatives and just hanging out.  Thursday night we went downtown to see Jersey Boys.  Now that was a great time.  Highly recommend to anyone. Today we went to visit my aunt and uncle, both who are very old and not well.  Did my heart good to see them but it was sad too, it's so hard for them to get around now a days.  Oh well what can you do. I called Wendi early this evening and she sound great.  Still having some pain, but looking forward to the leak test tomorrow and being able to have some liquids.  Ah I do remember.  If the weather holds I'll drop by ABH tomorrow to say hello. Tomorrow is another day of running around. Have to drop my brother back at the airport and then we are off to the outlet mall in Huntley.  Looking for a few things I am going to need before I start my new job on Wednesday. Then Monday we plan on going to see Charlie Wilson's War and then out to an early dinner. Plan to get home before the crazies get on the road. If I don't get a chance, hope everyone has a safe and happy new years.
Regards and hugs,

Ronna

Good Evening all,  I know it is late but today was so hectic I went to Elk Grove and picked up my mom for a few days and cleaned and did laundry.... Tommorow will be less hectic I think, but you never know I still have some laundry to do and a bit more cleaning...UGH I hate cleaning... Other than that nothing much is new... I am down 62 lbs and in a size 14-16 I am excited and eating is getting a little easier... I have a great friend that I call alll the time and we bounce ideas off each other.... I hope everyone has a great New year.....
