Friday Roll Call

Good Morning my friends in IL!!  It's been snowing here for quite a while already and looks nice, IF I didn't have to go out in it!  I have to take all the boys to Streamwood at noon today....hopefully the roads will be okay.  They are going to their other sides for the weekend, they were all supposed to stay until New Year's Day, but Mike's grandma passed away on Christmas Day and we have the funeral on New Year's Eve.  I hate that we have to drive to WI and home that day.....I just don't like to be out if I don't have to.   I have no real plans for the weekend other than trying to get my house back into shape and getting ready to head back to work on Wednesday. Stay safe everyone!!!

Good Morning Illinois! I am keeping Wendi in prayer her day has come! Monica, I am sorry for your husbands loss... My Grandma passed away on Christmas Day (20 years ago) but it was still a hard time... We are going to go out in this snow today DH is looking for some work boots... The kids were praying for some snow during Christmas Break they want to go sledding so bad... I hope everyone has a safe day! Blessings Jennifer

Monica I am sorry for your DH's loss......My heart goes out to your family. Wendi should be going in to surgery in about an 1/2 hour!   Dawn go home....it's bad out there.....and it's suppose to get worse this afternoon.   You go home on 20....right?  not a good place to be on right now. Christine....I am so glad you got to sleep thru the night.  This thing has really got you down!   Rest up and stay warm missy!    Going to bed and when I wake up it would be nice if they cancelled Saturdays paper!   yeah no work.....but I can dream on!

Pam, I think the cancelling of the paper would be a snowball's chance in hell! Yes, this thing got me right in the duppa. But, I am licking it. I feel almost myself today. Dave made me some fantastic Jewish penicillian (chicken soup) and some chili.

Chris, Yes they are SO excited! My brother was called into work tomorrow so we are going to S. Elgin tonight so we can watch my nephew tomorrow. Looks like we will take the kids sledding Sunday after church! We are going to try out a new place in Crystal Lake! We will also be staying home New Year's Eve I am always so scared to drive that day or night...

Hi,  I am sitting at home and cleaning watching the snow... It is so pretty when you don't have to go anywhere..LOL. I am thinking of taking Christmas decorations down... I am doing ok with food and all yesterday was a hard day for eating I must have eaten too fast because it all came back up.... I hope everyone is safe and sound and careful driving.... We drove home from the loop this morning, arriving in Rockford about 11:30. It wasn't slick yet, but the visibility with the snow coming at you was icky. We went to see Phantom of the Opera last night--a Christmas present. We walked from the hotel to the play--a NSV for me because I have a hernia on the back of my calf (a long story) which makes walking difficult and stair climbing more so. I had to climb stairs too and I wasn't out of breath. AMAZING! We might have shopped downtown, but it is too soon for new clothes and too snowy to stay so we came home. They were saying 6-7 inches of snow in Chicago, so everyone be careful! Connie
