Well, it looks like we are in for another white weekend here in the northern part of the state as we are to get 3-5 inches during the day today. Other than this white forecast what is going on with all of you out there in Illini Land  I have been really out of it - I did not even know that U of I is playing in the Rosebowl on the first  I am not much into sports. We just usually watch the parade and then lounge for the day or go shopping.  Well, just work for me today, if you call it that. To tell you how busy I was yesterday, I took in a find the difference puzzle book with me yesterday and sat and did that all afternoon. There really isn't much going on because the slackers I work with are on their usual holiday slow down. It will be busy next week after the first with all the DUI reports to process.  Have a great day all. Christine ps - I am feeling better and managed to stay up until 7pm last night  then I slept for the whole night.  Now I just need a box of tissues by me all the time for the drainage but I am not feeling as bad as I was over the weekend I can at least function during the day without my pillow and blankie by my side. I am not ready to go out and party yet. We are just going to hang around the house for the weekend, 31st and 1st.

Well I'm out the door soon for my surgery.  I am so sorry that I didn't sign up for this site earlier.  Everyone has asked me all month if I'm excited, nervous, etc.  Actually all I feel is sick to my stomach.  That cleansing yesterday took its toll on me.  I complained to my husband yesterday that my stomach hurt.  He said if you think it hurts today just wait til tomorrow.  That shut me up fast.   I'm sure I will get a chance to get to know everyone on here in the up and coming months.  I have read Wendi's post and do plan on trying to catch up with her at the hospital this weekend.  Our surgeons are from  the same office and we only live 2 towns away from each other.   Still no snow here in Lindenhurst, but I'm sure we will run into it on the way to the hospital. ~Michelle

Good Morning Christine, Lisa and the rest of Illinois! It is now 8:02 am and it just started snowing about 15 minutes ago.  My co-warker just came in and said "How long are you staying?  It is pretty slick already and they say this is the light stuff."  We will see how it goes.  If we are not busy and it looks to be getting bad out, I may just go home early since the drive in good weather takes over a half an hour... Todd finally went to the doctor yesterday and was diagnosed with bronchitis.  He now has 3 different medicines.  Hopefully, he will be on the mend soon. After work today, it will be home in the mess.  then, I need to make something to pass at my In-laws' tomorrow as we do a Christmas event there.  These events are chaotic to say the least, so it will be something to get through. I have everything crossed for Wendi this morning and Calvin will be in surgery before we know it.  Speaking of which, Christina P., how is the foot and being back to work???? Everyone stay safe, dry and warm today!

Tell someone that you love them!

Glad to hear that Todd got some help yesterday with his bug. Hope he is feeling much better in a couple of days, I certainly am on the mend. I never had bronchitis before that I know of. Most people that I know that have had it feel pretty crummy. Chris Stay safe

Well, today started off good (if you consider waking up before the sun even thinks about coming up good).  Found out I lost another 3.5 pounds and the obscene goal I set for myself at the beginning of the month to be below 250 by the end of the year is only 1.5 pounds away!If I don't make it, oh well, 61 pounds lost since May isn't bad at all (when I had my first adjustment). Got off the El (yep work in downtown Chicago) and McDonalds smelled so good.  Why do I have to get off at that stop?!  I should ask why is that stop the closest to work :)  How easy it would be to just slip for a day, but I was strong and continued to walk to work, as the snow started.  I can't say it was the pretty snow, it was the hit ya in the face and it kinda stings snow.  Oh well, I won't have to do much driving int it as I take the train.  See there is the bright spot :)  I am glad it is going to be a slow friday.  Enjoy it people.  Every days is a gift and good luck Wendi

Welcome to the board, Barry. Hope you do not have to walk into the stinging snow on the trip back to the L. Congrats on the loss also. Christine
