The hospital just called!!!!
Yes, they just called and there has been a change!
Do not worry, it is not the date, but the time
I now have to report to the hosptial at 9 am for surgery at 11, instead of arriving at 11 with surgery at 1pm.
So, we are down to 14.25 hours to the hospital and 16.25 to surgery.
I took a nap this afternoon, now I am soooooo hungry I could eat a horse, a pig, and a chicken..
I have a few more things to do, like to update the mp3 player with more music and take a long hot shower.
See all tomorrow on the loser's bench...

Wendi, Congrats on your surgery. As I just signed up for this site, I'm not sure you will get this before you leave in the morning. I too am having my surgery tomorrow at Alexian Brothers. I got a call tonight, but my surgery was changed to later. I was originally scheduled for 8:30 but they changed it to 11:30. I wish you all the best. I'll keep my eye out for you at the hospital and maybe we can get a chance to meet. We live pretty close to each other. I am in Lindenhurst.

Wendi,
Isn't this all so exciting? I know that you are probably very nervous too, but all will be fine. Just think of all the nice clothes that you'll be able to wear this summer and all the fun activities you'll be able to do soon because of the weight loss. I had my WLS in May of 2007 and I have so far lost 140 pounds. My surgeon is fabulous. Make sure you ask all questions before you are discharged from the hospital, and be sure that you understand all of the directions. My best advice to you is to just stay calm, and enjoy every moment of this life-changing event. The best is yet to come, and you have no idea just how tremendous you are going to feel very soon. I truly thank God every day that I have a second chance at life. Best of luck to you, I know that you will be just fine. Let us know how everything went. Can't wait to hear your good news on the loser's bench!!
Best wishes for a great surgery day,
tracy
I am sure by now you are starting on the losing bench, so congrats! At least they didn't lose your appointment. I had to sit with a friend who had their appointment lost and had to be squeezed in at 5 pm. I look back an laugh. Two hours earlier is two ours to start your new life! I said this a lot last year, Wendy, you can say it this year, New Year, New you!
