Wednesday Roll Call
Good morning Illinois friends. Here we are the day after Christmas. I'm back in the office and working the rest of the week.
Hope Christine is feeling better. Wendi is very close to her surgery day, Friday.
Yesterday I was out all day. Breakfast at my sisters, then a late lunch/early dinner at Moms and then on the way home, I stopped at my clubhouse as my friends were having their family Christmas dinner and they invited me to stop by. Got home after 6:30 and then fell asleep in the chair. I wasn't 100% yesterday but didn't eat until I was stuffed either. Today it's back to basics.
I hope everyone is well and safe and had a great holiday. Now for the after Christmas returns and sales on Christmas items.
Hugs,
Lucy

Good Morning Lucy and the Illinois Board,
I am heading out the door in a couple to drive to work. The van is warming up, so I donot have tostart in a cold seat.
Xmas was good, we had a houseful Monday night, then went to our daughters for yesterday. Didn't eat much, since I had a fill on Friday, nothing is staying down, or very little. Hopefully it (the band) will open up a bit.
Hope everyone has a good day,
Lisa
Hi Lucy and all you Illininoians!
We had a great and very peaceful dinner yesterday. Just 8 of us so no turmoil. Just good food and good company. And that sugar free chocolate mouse cake I brought was unbelieveablly yummy. I ate a whole piece all my myself, well my sister did take 3 bites
But I didn't overdue on dinner and saved room. So I did pretty well.
Today we went to Lucy's neighborhood and make our end of the year donation to the Juvienille Diabetes Association...gave a lot of clothes, shoes, lines and even my old walker/rollator which I don't need anymore
Then we went to Bob Chin's Crabhouse for lunch. I had salad bar (I think it's the best one around) and ordered blackened grouper which I boxed up and took home. Now I'll have a great dinner tonight and lunch tomorrow too
Tomorrow evening we are going downtown to see Jersey Boys. I am so looking forward to this!!!!
Hope everyone is having a great Wednesday!

Regards and hugs,
Ronna

Hi Ronna. I like your day and wished to have been there. You sure are enjoying your last free days before starting your new job. Good for you!
This afternoon I had my eyebrows and upper lip waxed... Ouchie! This was the first time since my facelift. I was a bit sensitive but now it is done. Friday I get my touchup and haircut.
Say hi to your sister for me!
Hugs,
Lucy

I feel about the same as I did yesterday. I am sipping on a chicken noodle cup 'o soup right now. I did a lot of food grazing yesterday, concentrating on protein and some goodies but it did not make up for the lost food that I have not eaten this last week+ . As soon as my internist staff gets into the office at 9am I am going to call and make an appointment for today. He is pretty easy to get into so I should not have a problem.

Good Morning Lucy and all of Illinois!!!
I am still locked out of OH from my home computer, so I was unable to post, but I lurked and caught up with most of you.
Lucy, glad to see you are doing better. No one expects 100% compliance 100% of the time. If you can do it most of the time, you are doing very well. I am glad to see that you are feeling better and the medicine should kick in soon and help even more.
I had a pretty nice 4 days. My poor husband is really sick with a respiratory thing also (like Chris). He started complaining of a headache about 10 days ago and he NEVER gets headaches. Besides the headache, he is coughing like CRAZY. Saturday, he spent the whole day and night in bed and had a 101 fever. He finally started perking up a bit on Monday, but is still not feeling back to his usual. I am hoping that he has not passed it on to any of us.
My kids are very happy with their gifts. David just LOVES the letterman's jacket. Little Miss Riley had on the custest Santa dress and helped pass out gifts. We will go to my in-law's this Saturday to celebrate with that side.
Now, to get ready for New Year's! We usually have the neighborhood over to our house.
Congratulations to Calvin on his approval and surgery date and we will be waiting for Wendi on Friday.
Have a lovely day all......
Good morning Dawn.
I am going to hang in there. Even if I don't do 100%, something is better than nothing. It's really hard especially around the holidays.
There is a lot of the respiratory infections going around. Hope DH feels better soon.
I have no special plans for NY. Looks like I'll be home.
Take care,
Lucy
