Good Afternoon IL,
I am sitting here trying to get my but in gear and get my house cleaned some more and finish up homework. When it rains it pours and I mean literally. I took the kids out shopping around 3pm yesterday, we went to the container store and I bought some 1, 2, and 8oz leak proof bottles for after surgery. I also found some really small dishes that hold just the right amount of food for the beginning. We then went and picked up citrus of magnesium, high protein boost, and some odds and ends for my DH. Then off to Walgreen's near my home where I found that they carry the Optisource vitamins, but I forewarn everyone who uses them to check the expiration dates...The bottle I was going to purchase had expired in 7/2007. I took it back to the Pharmacy and gave them an ear full of information. When we got home around 8pm the ceiling in my apatment was leaking from one side of the living room to the other. Needless to say that the management people willnot like me by the time I am done with them. I can not afford to have this happening after I get home from surgery. This is the 3rd time that the roof has leaked since moving in two years ago. I lost a dinning room table to water damage the first time and this time I almost lost my brand new tv that I got several weeks ago.
Monica, I undestand what you are going through as this happened to me as a 13 yr old with my step mother. Keep your ground, just let your hubby know that what he is doing is considered verbal abuse and that not only does it hurt the oldest, but you and the others as well. Teenagers are a tough thing, they can be impulsive and reckless. Just let him know that you are there for him and let him talk to you with no judgement. Just like a friend, but as a parent with guidance. If he comes to you with a problem, listen and then give him the options to best handle the situation but let him know that he has to decide which route to take in solving it. Sometimes letting them know that you were a teenager not so long ago and some of the stuff you did will help so he can see he is not the first to do it. I have been trying to drink the advance recovery stuff, but it makes me nauseated. But, I will get through it, I have 5 days till I get the best gift of all.
Lucy, you writing this morning seemed a little more cheerful. I too like the bread and butter, it is one of my biggest trigger foods. I am proud of your strength and determination in not partaking in the evils of bread and butter. If you ever need any Weigh****cher information, let me know I have been doing it off and on for over 7 years so I have a great collection of information.
Ronna, thank you for the comment on my surgery page you are so sweet.
Mary, if you run out of things to clean, you are more than welcome to come to my house and help. I have plenty of stuff to do.
To all here, I want to thank you all for the support you have given me over the last couple of months. I am not sure where I would be if it was not for everyone here. So to all of you I wish you the happiest of holidays.
Wendi
