Hi Wendi. Are you going to Alexian Brothers or St. Alexius? That is a great way to start the New Years. I know I wouldn't be able to have the surgery just before Christmas, but afterwards, YAY!!! We'll all be here to cheer you on and support you this coming week. Hugs, Lucy

Hi Lucy and Everyone, I will be at Alexian Brothers, I found the people quite nice there.  I am preparing a contact list for my DH, so when I am out of surgery he can make calls.  I found out the son of a friend of ours will be home on the 28th, he is in the Marine Corp and is being sent over to Iraq right after the first of the year.  So, I think that I will have him drop me off and he then can go see him.  I am not scared, I am not nervous, I am quite calm and at peace with my self.   I got the first negative response from someone today regarding the surgery (she saw the Oprah show regarding tranfer addiction).  I said that was a possibility, but I have a support system in place and my doctors are working with me on this journey.  That ended the topic, so no explaining my self. I did have an issue that popped up today, of course it is at 3:30 this afternoon and there was no way to take care of it.  It seems that my EKG was boarderline, so Bessie at the surgeon's office faxed to my primary care.  Well, the fax was too dark and my PCM could not read it so now on Wednesday morning I have to go over to the Navy hospital and get another one done.  By the time this was happening I was tired, working on updating quarterly reporting letters for the auditors and several other things.  So lets just say it was not a pretty picture. Well all, I am off to work on some housework, and wrapping of gifts.

Hi everyone! I finished the last of the last today and even got the stuff wrapped. I have to go back to work in a few minutes--have a monthly support group at noon and a patient later, but I should be home by three. 

I hope you all find your protein. I just order unjury and blend it with crystal light. I may check out that store though. 

 I hope you all enjoy the weekend and have a game or a puzzle to do if we get the big storm--then again so many storms just pass us by in Rockford. It seems like they go north and south of us , but jump over us. That's OK here.

Good Afternoon IL!! I hope everyone is staying safe if they are driving, the fog is getting really bad around here.   Well my plans for the day were, get up, get the kids off, go to breakfast with my best friend, finish up the shopping and home to wrap before anyone got home....yeah right! Last night my anti lock brake light and regular brake light came on, so it was off to the car dealer at 7am this morning, my friend did pick me up and we still went to breakfast, that was nice.  She dropped me back off at the dealers and I sat there until 1:15pm until my van was fixed.  The computer module went so the ABS wasn't working and in this weather, it's not good.  They also replaced my water pump which was leaking....the best news is that it only cost $100 because of our warrenty!  yay.  Sooo needless to say that once I left there and finished the shopping, I got home and Mike and Austyn were already home and it was 3pm already.  I have a bunch of people coming over on Sunday to celebrate Christmas and I have done nothing around the house!  yikes, I better get moving....
