GOT MY FIRST FILL TODAY

Hi Marcy..I have pain where he put the needle in.  i put the heating pad on and it seems to be letting up.  I have no hunger at all but i am making sure I drink my protien. thanks for caring.  Peace to you

Hi Marilyn!! Dr. Rantis is pretty rough when he gives a fill. I just recently had my third fill and I didn't feel a thing. My first fill though, it was pretty sore for awhile. What kind of pain is it? Is it at the port site? If it keeps up I'd give Dr. Rantis a call.

Hi Kristen..Yes he was very aggressive giving me the fill.  My pain is where the needle went in. I put the heating pad on and it is letting up. I did alot of lifting yesterday some cases of water after we left the  doctors office.  I wonder if that had anything to do with my pain.

Hi Marilyn, Sorry you are in such discomfort.  I would suggest you calling the doctor.  Although I'm not a bander, this doesn't sound normal. But congratulations on your 21 pound loss.  That is awesome!

Hi Marilyn. You had your 2st fill yesterday, and I had my second fill this morning! When Dr Guske does a fill, he numbs it with novacain first, then uses a second needle to shoot in the saline solution. I didn't feel a thing either time. Lisa

Hi lisa..It was my first fill I had to cancel twice and finally made it there yesterday. Dr. Rantis did it the same way as you got yours. I guess I have so much fat on my abdomen it took some time to get in there.  I am doing alot better today.  Although I am still on liquids.  How long does it take you to eat regular foods.  So happy to hear from you.

Glad your hubby is so much better-I hope mine will be soon too.  I had no pain at all from my fill-I have only been able to have one since my banding.  Since the crater is almost healed, I am hoping I can get a fill when I go the 26th.  Dr. R. numbed it and I had no trouble-I think if you continue to have pain-call the office.  It's better to be on the safe side-have a great holiday-Janet K
