GOT MY FIRST FILL TODAY

WELL I WAS IN FOR A SUPRISE..THE PROCEDURE WAS VERY PAINFUL. I WAS IN ALOT OF PAIN AFTER MY FIRST FILL. OF 2CC I STILL AM. I AM AFRAID TO EAT OR DRINK.  IS THIS NORMAL? MY DH GOT A CLEAN BILL OF HEALTH FROM DR. RANTIS. PRAISE GOD.  I AM DOWN 21 POUNDS..I AM THINKING ABOUT ALL OF YOU AND PRAYING FOR ALL OF YOUR NEEDS.

Sorry Marilyn that it was a difficult experience, I'm sure the lapbanders on this site will be able to help you......That is great news on your DH!   That should be a load off your shoulders knowing he's ok!  You take care.

Good morning Marilyn. I'm sorry to hear that you had a painful experience with your first fill. I had no idea that it could be painful. Hummmmm....that's interesting, because I have heard that it really doesn't hurt.  Just around the port area after.  I'm sorry you had that happen.  I have also heard that you have to take it easy on foods after a fill.  Start w/ liquid, then mushie foods ect.... I'm glad to see some lapbanders here!  I'm hoping to have that surgery also!

Kim...He had a hard time getting to the port. I also am on liquids for a few days.  The pain is getting better. Thanks for caring. peace to you.

Marilyn....what kind of pain are you experiencing? I just got my third fill last Friday and my doctor is very strict and wants me on liquids for a week...that's worked for me since I finally have restriction and really don't feel like eating.     Did you doctor stick you many times to find your port??  Just curious.  Hope I can help...Marcy
