Hello From Joliet
Hello all, My name is Dawn and I live in Joliet. I am kinda new to these forums. I joined this site, months ago and never really came onto here. It sure is nice to have a place to come to and chat with people that know what I am going thru. I had my surgery July 2, 2007. I had LOTS and LOTS of complications but I got thru it and now I am down 123 POUNDS. I still have about 40 more pounds to go to be considered @ 100% weight loss. But I am getting there. I only have 15 more pounds to go to be @ 75% weight loss. It is just insane to even think that I lost a whole person lol. I look forward to chatting with some of you all. Have a Great Holiday! ~Dawn
Hi Dawn! I have the same surgeon as you. I have RNY on 1/7/08. May I ask what complications you had? My nerves kicked in when I saw that and I notice you surgeon is the same as mine. My mom had him 3 years ago and has had no complications at all.
There isnt too much activity on here. I do enjoy stopping thru daily though, because you never know what post will be up.

Good morning Dawn. Welcome to the IL board. You'll see that there is a lot of support for both weight loss issues as well as personal ones.
Sorry that you had complications after your surgery. But, WOW you are doing wonderful. Congratulations on your awesome weight loss!!

The complications I had were NOT normal lol. I dont want to scare you so I am not saying a word. lol. I trust Dr Joyce with my life and he succeeded. He is the best doctor and I wouldnt recommend anyone else for your surgery. Good Luck with your surgery and I look forward to seeing you @ the monthly support meetins Dr Joyce's office has.
