Good morning everyone  I do not have much of a voice as I am a little horse,  actually I guess I am really horse because Dave just came downstairs and I needed to talk to him and I barely could squeak out the words. This cold really has whooped me. I stayed home again today. I am just going to lounge around the house today and snuggle under an afghan and watch TV. Hope you all have a great day. Christine

Good Morning Illinois! Oh Chris, I am SOOOO sorry to hear that you are sick.  Please take good care of yourself so that nasty bug goes away soon.  I have a tiny bit of a scratchy throat and am going to try to fight it so that I stay healthy for Christmas. I took the vacuum back very early yesterday morning and they would only exchange it for the same model because I did not bring the box.  Oh well, I will try this one again and if it breaks in a short time, I saved the box!   I actually got 3-4 gifts wrapped, so I am on my way with that. I put out feelers all over yesterday about sewing the numbers on the letterman's jacket, and most answers were that "mommies usually do that by hand" so......I am going to give it a try today at lunch.  I just don't want to screw it up, that jacket is expensive.  So, please send me "creative, sew it straight" kinds of vibes please!  My boss has left to Florida until after Christmas, so I will either have more work, or less.....we will see. I hope everyone has a lovely day, stays warm and safe!

Tell someone that you love them!

Good Mornig Chris and IL, Chris hope you feel better soon, I hate when I get sick and lose my voice, HD likes it  but no me, Dawn sending you vives on you sewing, hope it turns out good for you. Not much going on here today, We got a exercise bike yesterday on sale it is a Recumbent Bike, Hd, used it last night and got a good work out, it is real nice, the function on it does the speed, distance, time, calories adn heart rate, only one problem I am still to heavy for it, the weight limit is only 250 and I am 300, but I told Hd that I will be able to use it someday, so we got it, well, not much else going on hope everyone has a good day and enjoy the sun, and no snow

Success begins with wise choices I make,I will not let noncompliance be my mistake, The surgery I had was to assist me in changes. My compliance is for a success long range, So I will think before I decide to cheat. Remember the goals I want to meet. For this surgery is not something I was force to do It was what I wanted for a healthy life!

Good morning Dawn and Janet. I sound far worse than I feel. As long as I keep up with the meds for the congestion I am ok. I still am running off to the pot and I am making sure that I keep enough fluids in me to balance that issue. I am just futzing around the house, watching TV and got a load of wash done. Got the packing all done for our fast weekend away starting on Friday. I guess that I am going to hop into the shower and freshen up and then snuggle into the chair with the afghan and the remote. Chris

Christine, I'm so sorry you got a rotten cold.  Try some chicken broth and also tea with lemon and a bit of honey should help sooth the throat. Try and pamper yourself a bit so that you can get better before the holidays. Sending healing vibes your way
Regards and hugs,

Ronna

Ronna, been doing that with the chicken soup, I am not much of a tea person. Been getting in my fair share of daytime TV and enjoying that. I may take a long soak in the tub later. Chris

Good Morning Everyone! Chris, I am sorry to hear about your cold.  Just keep pumping those liquids.  I have also found that zicam works wonders for lessening the severity and shortening the duration of a cold. Dawn, I wish you luck in your sewing project.  The only place I know that would do this type of work is a sports store in Milwaukee called Bergman's.  I really find it hard to believe that there is no one who will sew these on.  Just make sure to use a heavy thread and strong needle.   I take these are the numbers for the sleeve? If the sleeves are wool, an easy way to keep them in the location of where you are putting the number is to use some the fusing tape that is used when fixing hems in pants.  My day is busy, as I am trying to tie up all the little projects here at work.  I also have to go and do the diet/nutrition class at 2pm today.  I am finding that I am excited now, and I am actually looking forward to the big day, just not the day before (lol).  I have threatened bodily harm to all those who come near me if they are sick. I don't want anything to delay this. Have a good day everyone.
Wendi

Wendi, yes I use Zicam and it does work, this one just got me full throttle this time. I usually always get a really bad cold once every 2-3 years and I came due with this one as it has been just about that time frame. Whenever I am needing to stay really, really healthy before a surgery or an important time I always keep the waterless hand sanitizer handy or I wash my hands all the time and make sure that if I am in a public place I do not touch my mouth, nose or eye areas in order to allow germs to get into my system. I also make sure that after I wash my hands before leaving a rest room I have the towel in my hand so I do not touch the handle that others have touched, just a small protection against germs. I also have the sanitizing wipes handy to wipe down surfaces at work that others have touched. I know it is fanatical but I do what I need to do. Chris
