Saturday Roll Call

Morning Chris!
I was surprised to wake up to snow as well. The last thing I heard is it was suppose to pass us by all together and go south. But I should know better than to rely on the weather forecast
Last night I went to the Kane support group and met Lucy there. She is looking mighty good, I might add
Starting in January, they will be changing their meeting time to Saturday from 10:45-12:15. So maybe more people will be able to attend.
My plans for today are pretty much up in the air now as I absolutely hate to drive in the snow and if it's not absolutely necessary I won't even venture out.
Tomorrow I have to be on clear liquids and start my "cleansing day." Just like the day before surgery. I have a colonoscopy scheduled for first thing Monday morning. Happy, happy, joy, joy, right? But Dr. Guske is doing the procedure and I trust him completely, so I know that all will be just fine!
Other than that, I'm just GREAT!
Hope everyone has a great Saturday. Be careful driving out there.

Regards and hugs,
Ronna

Ronna
Have you come down from cloud nine yet
Oh the joy of the royal flush for a colonoscopy
been there done that a couple of times. I was so happy after my last one 2 years ago when I was told that I do not need to go back in for another 10 years for the next one. I truely feel that a lower GI is worse. I would rather be put out.
Well, I will have to see if the support group interfers with the pre op seminars because Dave and I speak at both his and mine on Saturday's.
Well, the birds are having a feeding frenzy at the feeders already and it is still dark out so I think this weather is going to camp out over Chgo for most of the day. I use what the birds are doing more so than what Jerry Taft says
, HAHA made a funny.

Good morning Illinois.
The snow has stopped here, we only got about 1/4 inch or so, and we are 100 miles sw of you. I will be staying home today for the most part, since DH took my van to work.
I am going to finish up a few things today, including, trying to bag up a lot of the gifts that are going elsewhere. Our problem is almost everything we bought is big. Such as a Card table and chairs.
This morning, I have already made some chocolate covered pretzels and aprcots. Now i need to put them away.
Have a good day.
Lisa
Hi Ronna. Thank you for the butterfly pin. I really didn't want to go to support, but knew that I needed it. I was happy to see you there.
I will check out that 50s site you mentioned to me and emailed the info. Just haven't had the chance yet since I was out all day today. I'd like to get together with you at one of their activities. I think I need to get out more.
I wanted to wish you the best with the colonoscopy on Monday. You know that you are in good hands with Dr. Guske.....
Keep in touch my dear friend!
Hugs,
Lucy

I was also surprised when Mike called me to let me know that he's sitting on the side of the road waiting for a tow truck becasue his car died on the way to the repair shop and he's got a 3 hour wait because of the weather. I had no idea it even snowed here! lol
This Christmas isn't going to be a good one for our boys, I hate that. Money is always an issue here since Mike was out of work a few years back and we racked up the bills....now right before Christmas his car dies and who knows how much that will cost to fix. My van also needs a new water pump very soon. I am feeling depressed today because of this. We were supposed to go shopping for our boys today, but now the money will go to his car instead.
Oh well. I have to go and get ready to take Tyler and Jacob to their dad's for the rest of the weekend. I hope the roads are better now because he's up in Streamwood.
Have a great day everyone!
HI Monica....
Be careful out there driving!!
I know what you mean about money being tight right now.....and cars always seem to break down at the worst possible time, too!
If you get a chance today, please do something just for yourself....even if it is just a warm soak in the tub...you deserve it !!
take care my friend,
Paula

Thank you Paula. I will be very careful driving. I have my most precious cargo with me! My children. I will try to do something for myself. I have already cleaned out my bathroom closet....actually feel better looking in there and being able to see what's in there! LOL
I have to do a lot of major cleaning between now and next Saturday....our Christmas is on Sunday with my family and my house is a disaster!
Love to you
Hi Chris and IL !
Today I am attending a friend's graduation from Chiropractic school. He is one of the most awesome people I've ever met. I'm sure he will be successful because he not only has the skills he also has the caring attitude that is sometimes lacking in the healthcare field. As a little token I will be giving him an engraved business card case...it has his name...starting with "Dr" and ending with "D.C."
Last night was a great get-together with some girlfriends, we had such a blast just being silly and chatting, etc. I had a little bit of a food episode, but I got through it....sometimes I can eat a certain food and be fine, and then the next time I try it, it gets stuck.
Afterwards I went out to meet up with the BF. He's been feeling a little out of sorts lately.....nonsense at work and his parents are both having some health issues....he is having to do long-distance treks up to see them and it is taking a toll on him. He will be okay though...once the hustle-bustle of the holidays is over.
Tonight I will be going to the zoo to see all the beautiful lights....then we are off to see a live Nativity....I have driven past this particular church year after year and have always missed the event due to work...this year I am sooooo gonna be there!
Happy Holidays!!
Paula
