Friday Roll Call

Good morning IL-Hope all is well w/all of you.  Eddie had surgery yesterday to repair the knee.  They finally got the parts in.  (I hope this time they are genuine GM parts.  Sick humor from a retired GM bookkeeper!)  He didn't go in until after 5 pm so it was a very long day!  I'm just so grateful they were able to repair instead of having to replace the whole implant!  He should be home Sat. or Sun and then he'll continue the infusions and PT at home.  Thanks for all your prayers and good thoughts-Hugs to all-Janet K

Good Morning Chris and all of Illinois! After work today, Todd is picking up Miss Riley for an overnight visit with us!  We just LOVE to have her out.  She is growing so fast, and talking a bit too!  She calls Olivia "leave" and it is so cute! We need to get tree tomorrow.  We try not to get too Christmasy before Todd's birthday on the 5th, and sometimes, that puts us a bit behind everyone else on the planet. I am very happy and dancing with Wendi, and keeping things crossed for Ronna.  Glad to see that Christina does not have to worry about work on Christmas Eve, that would be a rough day to go back to work. I am only wishing good things for everyone!

Good Morning All! Yes, I am walking on cloud 9 today, and I have started making lists of all the things I need to get accomplished.  I am still waiting to hear back from the surgeon's office, and I am trying to keep the positive thoughts going.  There is so much to do and so little time.  This weekend I will be doing the usual stuff of homework, housework, and I do have a couple of gifts left to buy.  I am so looking forward to being able to wear all the clothes in my closet that I have gotten too fat for, and the ability to wear my high heels again even though it will be for a short time. My DH is not that thrilled about the rush for surgery, but my opinion is he will get over it.  My co-workers and boss are being truly supportive.   Ronna, I am also keeping all available body parts crossed in the hopes you get the coveted job offer.  Christina - that doctor should have said the day after the holiday. Monica we always seem to have the same to do list, I have one more year then I will decide if I am going for another degree.  Chris, I hope you find a new cucu that is just right. Janet, It is good to hear that your husband is doing better, but I will keep him in my thoughts for a full recovery.  I had to giggle at the GM reference, as my dad is a retired Chyrsler employee, so on my side it is MOPAR parts. And, to all those I missed I that you have a fun filled weekend.   HAPPY FRIDAY!!!!!! 

Happy more than 1/2 way through the workday. My lunch with the rest of my co-workers was fantastic, we had a blast. And yes the chief told some funny tales about former co-workers. The majority of us are going out together after work to Real Time Sports for a drinkie pooh. Dave is joining us then him and I will go to dinner and also look at the clocks. And yes, him and I are very careful about alcohol and the WLS person driving. I will have a couple of sips and then stop. The great thing about this sports bar is that it is smoke free because all of Elk Grove Village is smoke free, WOOHOO! I know kind of an oxy moron - a sports bar that is smoke free. That is why we all like to go there because none of us smoke. Take care - talk at ya all later. Chris

Hi everyone.....Lots of stuff going on with everyone this weekend!   Christine  sounds like you had a very good day today!   Janet so glad to see your post!   Glad that GM parts department came thru for you and DH!  But I'll bet you that those GM parts will cost you like you are ordering for Nascar! Miss Lucy.....I am so glad you are on this board so you can get our support and love!   When you aren't around WE MISS YOU!  It will get better! Christina sorry you're so board, I'm thinking you make a bad patient!   You can't be put down for too long!  Kind of like someone stold your independance away for a while? ...  I get to visit my favorite doctor next thursday.....So I hope that weather doesn't ruin my trip into Downers Grove next week! I still have a hell of a time at work especially on the weekends, Sunday ads are killing me!  OUCH!   So in saying that....How long before I can have just 1 bloody mary!   LOL
