Hi Lisa. Soon I am on my way to the plastic surgeon's office to get my facial stitches out. Can you say OUCHIE ? I'm hoping that I don't have to wear my ace wrap around my face and chin. It's been two weeks now and I'm getting tired of it. I got a lot of rest this weekend and feel better. I knew I went back to work too quickly. I've been so depressed for a while now. I'm going to see Dr. Guske on the 20th since I have some issues. I was lucky to get an appointment because he is booked up until January. The nurse squeezed me in. Hope everyone is safe and sound. I am sorry for all the Janet K is going through. I hope that 2008 will be a better year for her and hubby. Christina, I hope that you are feeling better. Take care, Lucy

Good Morning, Lisa, Lucy and the rest of Illinois!!!!! The weather here is dreary, but not terrible.  The ride in was fine, I can only hope for the same going home.  I was thinking of going to Madison for support group, but I will wait that out to see what the weather does. MY weekend mostly uneventful except for a BIG WOW MOMENT for ME: I fit into my first-ever-in-my-lifetime LEVI's BUTTON FLY jeans!!!!!  For me, that is a biggie!!!!  I always wanted a pair, but the last time they were fashionable, I was too big for them.  I bought this pair a couple of months ago at a thrift shop in hopes that I could wear them "some day".  After I realized that I had lost 2 inches off of my hips, I thought I would try them on again, and THEY FIT!!!!!!!  I am very happy!  The evil scale actually was down a pound this morning also, but I will not count on that until it stays down. I am so sorry to hear about Janet and Eddie's troubles and hope that things get better soon. Monica, I also hope that you will be done with funerals soon as you seem to have had more than your share lately. Lucy,  I wish there was something I could do to help you out of the dumps.  [[[[[[[HUGS]]]]]] to you. Wendi,  I have all body parts crossed for you to hear great news today! I'm also anxious to see if Paula walked yesterday.  If so, my hat is off to her!!!! Connie-----don't buy too much at Catherine's, you will not be shopping there much longer!  I have found thrift stores to be my best bet during the past year.  I have only purchased a few brand new things as I was "growing out" of things right and left for the first 10 months. Chris and Dave, I'm glad to hear that the party went well, and I was thinking of you guys on Saturday and missing the ribs that I'm sure were on the menu! I hope everyone is staying warm, dry and safe on this cloudy Monday.  It's back to work for me.......

I know what you are saying about Catherine's. Actually I have a closet full of clothes that are smaller and my partner is on this journey too and she weighs a lot less than I do so I'll have hers, too. I needed a black half slip for a Christmas party where I am wearing a long skirt (for the first time in years) and I figure as I lose weight, I can easily take in the side seams if I need to. Even though I don't have time to sew anymore, I can do it when necessary. I am also wearing a gorgeous beaded jacket to the party that I haven't worn in 4-5 years. Thank goodness things like that don't really go out of style.

Happy Monday Everyone! As always I am quite busy at work.  We are in the middle of closing the month of November and gearing up for year end.  I do get to leave work early today, as I am the organizer and the hostess for our groups holiday social.  Yep, that's me the party planner and hostess with the mostess.  I am almost finished with my final papers that are due tonight.  Then I have to download my book for my class that starts tomorrow. I am trying to be patient, but waiting for the phone call from the insurance company is making me nuts.  But, as soon as I hear I will make sure to post the announcement. Christine, I hope your foot is doing better.  Lucy, I know what you mean about getting stitches pulled, they can hurt like crazy.   Monica, Sorry to hear about the death in the family.  My thoughts and prayers go out.  Janet, things will be better in 2008.

Hopefully the weather will hold out until I get home from work at a little after 3 today. I am dragging butt today as the last 3 days are catching up with me. Another hopefull here is that it is not too icky tomorrow night because that is when Santa is scheduled to arrive at our village hall via his sled being towed in by a squad car. I am helping out in the refreshment area after the kids go through the Santa line. Just have a couple more hours of work then I come home and vacuum the house and spruce up the bathrooms. After that is over I can crash into my chair and watch the boob tube. Christine

Hi Miss Pam. I am stronger this week. Last week I felt like a truck drove over me and back. Today I got my stitches out and my face looks great. I don't have to wear my ace wraps on my face anymore. YAY!!  I'm going to see my WLS surgeon next Thursday to discuss my problems and hopefully get on an anti-depressant. I've been depressed for several months now and it's not getting better. I don't want to see him because I feel like a failure but I have to chin up and bear it. I think that I will feel better after my visit with him. I'm back on track, at least for today but man it is hard. To top it off, I got a box of Lindor chocolate truffles, 60 of them.... It took all my willpower to not open the box and hide it in the office. Now if I would have gotten it on Friday, I probably would have eaten most of the box. I'm going to have some vegetarian chili for dinner. Now I am sipping some peppermint tea. It is yummy. Thanks for asking about me. That means a lot my friend! Lucy
