They called me what!?!?!?!!

As most of you know, I'm participating in the Rudolph Ramble 8K run/walk Sunday morning...well, I received an email from the events coordinator regarding the inclement weather and how they are turning the 8K into a 5K.  The email starts out, "Dear Athlete".....HA!!!! There ya have it!!! I'm officially an ATHLETE??!!?!  Who knew!!! I told the BF and he rolled his eyes and laughed at me......he is such a stinker sometimes. I knew you would understand my NSV !!! (there's still time to register in person.....that is, if you are brave enough to battle the sleet/snow that is expected....c'mon....it's not like we're gonna jump in Lake Michigan at the end of the race...this time!!!)

Paula.....That is a WOW moment!       I would put you right up there with the postal service.....rain,sleet or snow!    You are so committed......I think that's great! Hugs        Pam

Paula, You are an Athlete! Most people I know wouldn't even go out in this messy weather, nor walk in a 5k or 8k race. Good luck tomorrow, stay as dry and as warm as you can.     Lisa

Thanks Lisa, I just bought some wool socks...they're supposed to keep your feet toasty and dry.  That was my primary concern because I already have the UnderArmour wear for all other parts of me.  It is funny when you have to pull the stuff on..it's supposed to fit snug, but when you take it off....oh maaaan, it's like you need someone to help you!   I am still debating on the New Years Day walk....gonna see how I feel after this one. I'll be thinking about you guys when I'm walking!!! take care!
