The Light at the End
The Light is in sight at the end of the tunnel and it is not an on coming train
.
I called the surgeons office this morning, and she had not heard anything from the insurance company if there was anymore requirements. So, I went and called my insurance company. Here is the news.....They have everything I need, and it is going for review. She said I should know the answer by no later than Friday. I am trying to not get my hopes up, in case I am denied. I am trying to no get excited, but it is hard. I now wonder if it will still be possible to get surgery before the end of the year, of if I should wait until end of Feb./beginning of March. I need to plan to take the time off from school, and if I do it while on winter break, it will not delay my graduation for next December. Oh, how I hate the what ifs and such.
Maybe one of you will be able to tell me how many days prior to surgery do you have to do the advantage stuff is this a liquid diet? or do I get to eat real food also....I have so many of the little questions.

Hi Wendi... Oh I remember how I felt when I was waiting for my date! I will pray that Friday you get that phone call that gives you the go ahead. I had my surgery through the Kane Center they let me purchase my Impact Shakes before I had my date so I would be able to start drinking them... You drink them for 10 days before surgery only clear liquids and the cit. of mag. the day before! Good luck! Jenn

Chris,
Maggie is the one handling my paperwork, but I have gotten to know the person at the insurance company quite well (lol). She has come to the conclusion that if she needs anything to come directly to me and I will get it done promptly. I hope she will call me directly with the news.
Like today when I talked to her, she had inquired regarding the use of illegal substances (drugs) and if this was asked during my psyc eval. I said even better, turn to page 4 of the lab work and you will find a drug screen. Let's just say that answered the question.
Success begins with wise choices I make,I will not let noncompliance be my mistake, The surgery I had was to assist me in changes. My compliance is for a success long range, So I will think before I decide to cheat. Remember the goals I want to meet. For this surgery is not something I was force to do It was what I wanted for a healthy life!
