Prayers needed
I swear if it was not for our bad luck we would have no luck at all! My darling husband has had an infection in his left index finger since August. He did go to the Dr. once for it and took some anti-biotics, but it never really got better and he ignored it hoping it would go away. Last week, while I was in the hospital, he finally had enough of the pain and drainage and went to our new PCP, who took cultures and X-rays. We were told Friday that he had to see a hand surgeon ASAP and the DR.'s office got us in this morning. Eddie's bones in his finger are being eaten away by this infection and he will have surgery tomorrow to clean it up and remove the dead bone areas. Then he will have to have a PIC line put in and have IV anti-biotic treatments at home for 6 or more weeks. If these work, he will probably have to have bone fusions so he can use finger again , and there is a good chance he may lose it. As he is immune suppressed due to organ transplantation, this infection can be a real threat. He's a putz, but he's my putz and I hope he can get through this. He has no sick or vacation time coming so we are going to be hurting in pocketbook area too. Any and all prayers will greatly appreciated. Thank you my friends-hugs-Janet K

Dear Dear Janet, I am so sorry to hear about your husbands medical problems. I really think most of us will put off going to the Dr, cause we know somethings wrong, but we really don't want a name for it. Good luck tomorrow and I will be praying for youand your DH.
Hugs
Lisa
Janet I will keep your HD in my thoughts and prayers,
Why are men so bull headed about going to the Drs. anyway,
keep us posted on how he is doing , and hang in their.
Success begins with wise choices I make,I will not let noncompliance be my mistake, The surgery I had was to assist me in changes. My compliance is for a success long range, So I will think before I decide to cheat. Remember the goals I want to meet. For this surgery is not something I was force to do It was what I wanted for a healthy life!
