Did You Move To Lose Today? Fallen But I Can Get Up!
Hello Everyone,
Well, when you are an emotional eater it goes down without you even knowing it. And if you exercise you can get away with a lot....but If you quit then the old waist band doesn't lie.
I have had some stuff going on and been hitting the carb bad boys pretty hard. Worst of all, I stopped going to the gym. I have to tell you, the impact not going to the gym was painful. Not only on the body but mentally. I knew working out helped with stress and feeling good and energy but OMG You feel so low when you don't move to lose
and or maintain.
So, that being said I am getting off my butt and going back to the gym today. I am going to be working out with my son and getting back on track. Myself and Charlie are going on a cruise at the end of January with fellow OH'ers and that is my goal. To get back in shape and lose the extra weight I have put on.
Do you want to join me? Come on, we can do it together!! This time of the year is the hardest and we can help each other get through it. I will be posting Did You Move To Lose Today in the AM and PM. Help me and in turn hopefully I can help you.
Love you all!!!
Take care,
Kathy

Hi Kathy!
Yes, I DID move to lose today!
I got up at 4 and did 6 miles on the stationary bike at an average 18 mph; took about 20-25 minutes. Then, I did the purple resitance bands for another 20-25 minutes.
I hope this helps me to lose some time soon. I have been moving regularly since September and not a pound gone. Is this normal? If so, how long do I need to exercise regularly before the scale starts moving again? (Before you ask, no, my clothes don't fit differently or have I lost any inches.)
I HAVE seen that the day feels different on the 1-2 days per week that I don't work out, but aren't we SUPPOSED to rest a couple of days a week?
I will respond to your post and maybe it will help, or someone will have some ideas?
Thanks for starting this up again!
Hi Dawn,
You want to make sure you are doing cardio to get the fat burned and then add resistance training to add muscle. The more muscle you have the more fat is burned. Then the next thing is what we eat....UGH... Increase the amount of protein you are eating and cut out the white carbs. Hard I know....once the weight starts coming off then you can add complex carbs.
I am eating mostly protein, drink my water and no carbs. I am doing cardio and weight lifting.
If you have been doing the same thing for at least 6-8 weeks and your body fat is not going down I would try to change it up. If you have been walking then try swimming and or biking...
Thanks for joining me and let's help each other to get that body fat down and gone for good...
Take care,
Kathy

Thanks Kathy!
I AM doing cardio (stationary bike) 20-25 minutes, AND resistance (also 20-25 minutes).
I don't eat white carbs, get an average of 100 g of protein, 100 oz of water, all vitamins prescribed, and any other calorie free, cabonation free beverages that I can get in.
I will just keep plugging along........it just HAS to start moving soon, don't you think????
I'll meet you here tomorrow!
If you are not already doing so make sure you do your cadio after any resistance training. It makes a difference. I agree, if should start moving soon. How long have you been doing this routine?
As I said, if you have been doing this for over 8 weeks I would try and shake things up.
Let's keep in touch and we will get through this together!!!
Take care,
Kathy
