Chicago travel

Hi everyone! Got a question for those of you that live in the Chicago area.  I am driving up to the University of IL this Thursday from southern IL near Saint Louis to see Dr. Ayloo for my 1st consultation. Looking at the weather channel it looks like there will be snow Tuesday and Wednesday so we will be traveling in it. My question is............how well are the roads maintained and stuff? I hope to have my surgery as soon as February if possible since I have all my pre-tests done except a pulmonary consult, chest x-ray and labs so we may be traveling in bad weather again too. Depends on your route. Chicago is pretty good with keeping roads cleaned up, but I dont live there nor do I know your route. I never have trouble in the winter when we go there though. I guess your safest bet would be to leave xtra early and take your time.   Good luck, be blessed, and be careful! -Tamika

You'll be coming up I55?  Doesn't really matter.....interstates are all as good as they can be, and it's snow this time not ice.....I'd say you are going to be just fine Pam

I used to live in Chicago and everything should be good.  It will only get rough once you get off the main highways....it should not be bad at all.  I currently live in Southern Illinois and go up to Chicago every December and January and everything is good.  Good Luck!!
