Sunday Roll Call
Good Morning Chris and IL,
I am headed to the hospital in a few moments. My sister went into the emergency room last night with severe abdominal pain. She has two incarcerated hernia's and will be having emergency surgery this afternoon or tomorrow at the latest. They are trying some sort of procedure with an NG tube first and if that does not work, it is surgery asap.
I am headed there now. Please keep her in your thoughts and prayers.
Christina- I will be thinking of your sister as well, keeping her in my prayers for her surgery tomorrow.
Mary
Good Morning everyone
So sorry about the party........You know it figures when you plan something like this leave it to the weather to ruin it! Lucy I know you put a lot of time and effort into this party, thank you for that but so sorry things got cancelled.
Spent yesterday moving some of my grandmas things (I'm the only one with a van) Wow did she ever have the pictures! That will be so nice to go thru! Got finished with that and want to come home and sleep.......then my electric goes out! but they got it going back on in about three hours so it wasn't too bad.
We will surely pray for your sister Mary.....keep us posted with the results, and Christina keep us updated on your sisters surgery tomorrow too! We will certainly have her in our prayers too!
Everyone have a good day!
Pam
Hi Chris,
My sister is fast asleep with her pain pump right now. She had the surgery at 11:00 a.m. and there were actually 3 hernia's. The surgeon repaired them and had to use mesh. It seems she started feeling bad Friday night but thought it would get better. She asked if they could delay a day or so and they told her a huge NO!!!! She will be in for about 5 days and then no lifting for 6 weeks or so.
Thanks everyone for the thoughts and prayers. I don't really feel that bad, it's just the annoying cough. Today is my last day on the z-pack. I really did have second thoughts about the hospital, but I had to go and make sure she got through her surgery. I did ask for a mask to use while there as I was worried.
Thanks,
Mary
