Hi Kristen. You'll be missed tonight at our party. But we will have another one, I promise. I can relate about getting attention, as my sister has been jealous of me getting attention from men as well as others. It is unfortunate but one of the side effects of WLS. It does feel good though to think that someone thinks of us as attractive and beautiful! Take care, Lucy

Lap Band on 03/02/07

I got up at 7:30 and the sleet has already started here. The ground has a thin layer of ice already here and it 9:45. I am staying home today and finish decorating for Santa's big day. I was supposed to babysit my granddaughter and big brothe today while mom and dad put that spray in insulation in their attic, but since the weather is getting yucky that has been changed. So its just me and PEACE and QUIET. My favorite kind of day. Hope the weather is good next week or I will not be able to make support group . Well going to finish my coffee and get up off the butt and get something done. I work at a turtles pace! Karen

Hi Karen. It just started to snow here in Wheeling; it's around 11:50 a.m. I've been busy with taking things to the clubhouse and going shopping and the bank. Now I am sitting on my recliner and having soup for lunch. I just have to dress for the party. I am going to walk over and asked someone to drive me back so I don't have to clean off my car. Well i got in my workout this morning before it started with the freezing rain!! Good thing I am staying in today!! Well the boy I have been talking to finally asked me out. He is cooking me dinner this thursday so I am nervous

Hi Lippy. It just started snowing here in Wheeling. How exciting that you are finally going to be the boy or should I say man that you have been talking with. I can tell you that when I went out the first time with a man this past March, I was nervous too. He was in town at a conference and I was meeting him for the first time. I had a great time and was treated like a lady. I'm glad I put myself out there otherwise I'd still be afraid of dating. Good luck and keep us posted! Hugs, Lucy

Good Afternoon, or should I say almost evening. It's just about 4pm here already and I hope that everyone who is going to Lucy's is either there already or being super careful getting there. It's been snowing/ice raining here since about 11:30am and it's windy as all heck. Hubby and I went to the grocery store this morning....remind me never to take him again! I spent $300 on groceries with him there! yikes. Then again that will last at least 2-3 weeks with the boys here too. I am still feeling poopy, but at least my throat isn't as sore anymore. I am coughing and have a headache that just won't quit either. I am going to just relax tonight and try to stay warm....it's freezing in here! LOL

Hi Monica. Well the party was cancelled as one by one people called and said they were not coming. Now I am at home alone looking forward or not so forward to going to work on Monday. Glad to hear that your throat is not sore anymore. Get lots of rest!

aww, I'm sorry the party ended up cancelling, but it is probably for the better with the crappy weather. I hate that you are there all alone now though!
