Thursday Roll Call

Good morning Illinois. I'm up early so here I am. I'm really getting tired of sleeping in a  recliner. Just 3 more nights of this stuff and then, ah sleeping in  my bed. The only bad part is then I have to go to work. Yikes, I'm going to hate that! I keep looking for changes in me since my plastic surgery last Saturday and really don't see much. I still need pain medication, although not as often.  I am looking forward to our party on Saturday! Hope everyone is doing well on this cold morning! Hugs, Lucy

Good Morning! I'm here, been up off & on all night cuz my man has a toothache.  Its been hell listening to a grown man whine, lol.  Hopefully today we can get him into the dentist. I wish I could make it to the party this weekend, but I gotta cut down on spending big time with Christmas coming up here. Have a good day all! Kenzie

Good morning Kenzie. I can relate to your man's toothache. That can be quite painful. Hopefully you will get him an appointment today. Usually they save some appointment time for emergencies. Sorry to hear that you can't make the  party, but I understand. Maybe later on in the year! Hugs, Lucy   

Boy are you right about the cold today.  I bundled up to go out for our walk this morning and still froze my but off.  And my Hawley doesn't care a bit. She loves the cold and wouldn't think of changing our route just because it's cold outside. That wind just went right through me. Even with a down coat and a heavy fleece underneth. Needed 2 big cups of hot tea when I came home just to stop my teeth from chattering. Boy I do love Chicago, don't you?

Hi Ronna. I was just outside tonight in the garage. It doesn't seem as cold as it was this morning. I love my coffee when it's cold! I know that when I am downtown and that Chicago wind goes through me, it's so cold that my eyes are tearing. Love Chicago yes in the summertime! Lucy

Just let the dogs outside and BRRRRRR !! I hate cold weather...I think of myself as more of a tropical gal with a Midwestern address. LOL   

I have to go back to work tonight...these 3 days off have been wonderful though, lots of fun. Lucy, glad to see you are feeling a bit better.  Less pain meds is a big step....and sleeping in the recliner is not fun!! (you are propping yourself up with pillows, yes?)

Kenzie, I know what you mean about putting up with a whining man...but I can understand when it is for a toothache...that really does hurt.  Mine was whining when his parents were in for the holiday...his mom can be a rather trying person at times.  I hope you get your fella in to see the dentist so he can get some pain relief. I am off to Curves for some circuit training (and gossip)...and then for some car maintenance (let's hope not too $$$$$$).  Then the much anticipated massage!!! waaahooooo! stay warm everybody!! Good morning Paula. This is one morning I am glad that I am inside. Although I would like to have some company! I haven't used any additional pillows. I have a very nice leather recliner from Lazy Boy. I really miss my own bed. Soon, I will be there but I will have to sleep on my back with a few pillows propped up. I can take that. I am thinking of joining Curves after the holidays. I need the muscle workout.

I am here for a couple of minutes. SHHHHHH - I am playing hookie from work with a headache. The thing is is that I have had a headache all week and I do not get them like this but once every year or so. So, I said the truth when I called in this morning, I woke up with it again. Once the Tylenol wears off it comes pounding back, it probably is stress. I never call in sick unless I really am and this is only my second day this year, the other day was just for 4 hours to have a test at the GYN office. I had a motive to dive into things that needed to be done for next week and I am doing that except being here right now.  Got things to get done in the house then I have a Pampered Chef party next door at my neighbor's house. Gotta go, Christine

Good morning Chris. Your secret is good with me. Headaches are bad. Hope you get some relief soon. Stress definitely can induce one. I sure do miss being with people. It's driving me nuts. My face looks yellowish in spots and black and blue in others. I guess it's part of the healing phase. I can't wait to see Dr. Madry to get my hairline stitches out. My hair around that area is yucky. I can't get out the matting because I am afraid of the stitches. I do feel more comfortable with my ace wrap around my head and chin. It is supportive. Val is seeing Dr. M this morning. Hope she gets some good news about her implants. I only have a few more nights in the recliner. Sunday I will be sleeping in my bed. YAY!!! It's only Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights. I can do it... Enjoy your pampered chef party. I bet you will buy something. Hugs, Lucy

Good Morning Lucy and all! Hang in there Lucy....just a few more nights in the recliner and then, off to bed!  It is good to see that you are healing properly.  Less pain med is a good sign. After work today, I am going for a hair cut and highlights!  This might not be a big deal to everyone else, but I have never paid to have my hair colored or highlighted.  In the past, I have always just bought a box of stuff at Wal-Mart and did it myself.  I haven't done anything to it since way before surgery though.  I am kind of excited for this small bit of pampering.  I'm worth it!!!! It looks like quite a few of us are realizing that we are special and worth a bit of pampering.  GOOD FOR US!!!!  EVERYONE deserves to feel special! Not much else going on at the moment.  I sure wish I could be in Wheeling on Saturday....... PLEASE TAKE PICTURES for me!!!!!
