I'm in love...............

............with my chiropractor!!!  HA HA....Well, maybe not true love, but he has solved several chronic pain issues in my neck,back and shoulder.  Have any of you sought out chiropractic after losing significant weight from surgery?  I realize that my balance was terrible (still is bad) due to the excessive weight I was carrying...and the extra pounds were a big burden on my whole body.  Anyways, my wonderful chiro has suggested I make a couple of appointments for massage...soooooooo, tomorrow will be my first ever massage!!!  I'm soo looking forward to it. (they asked if I preferred a male/female therapist....they are all very professional, so I didn't have a preference) I really have been doing a lot of pampering of myself lately....and enjoying every minute of it !!! So maybe the first line of this post should be, "I'm in love.....with me!!!" yaaaay!!! hugs! Paula

Hi Dawn, In retrospect, my "in love" isn't for the chiro..now that I think about it..although he is a wonderful man.......i am just being a goofball ! <-----------------(look here) ----that's the "in love" .....and he's not a chiropractor. But yeah, I am loving the lack of shoulder pain....and looking forward to that massage tomorrow. I'm a little nervous about the whole undressing thing, but I guess they have sheets that cover you and it's really professional and discreet.   Hope you are having a good evening too! take care!

Dear Paula: I knew what you meant------I mean it is pretty cool to be "in love" with yourself!  What a change that can be for those of us that were MO for so long and practically hated ourselves. You have inspired me to do something for me.  After your post about doing something for yourself, I called and made an appointment for tomorrow evening to have my hair highlighted and cut....PROFESSIONALLY!  I always have my hair cut by a professional, but I have never had them do any color or highlighting ( I always use the stuff from Wal-Mart).  My company Christmas party is on Saturday and I decided that I deserve the treat! Don't worry about the massage.  You will LOVE it!  I got them for my husband and I a couple of years ago.  They will have a sheet and you will not have to take anything off that you feel uncomfortable taking off (i.e. underwear).  It will feel OH SO GOOD!

Oh YAAAY!! You just made my day saying that I inspired you to do something for yourself.  How wonderful to treat yourself to highlights...and it being the holiday season, you are gonna look great!!! And yes, you definitely deserve to treat yourself to this..and do it just cuz you are fabulous! Let me know how you like your highlights!!  I bet your hubby is gonna love them, too!

Dawn, You were soooo right on about the massage!!!  I loved it and scheduled another one for next week....because it is a student/intern type of situation, it only runs $40 for an hour massage. It's a clinical/medical setting, not like a day spa...but that is to my liking. I just took a look at your photo with the highlights...I LOVE THEM!!!!  It brings out your eyes really nicely....and the cut is also flattering.  Wish I had longer hair, but I've been trying to be low-maintenence (ha ha, b/f would not agree with that one) and cut it short. I did have chunky blonde highlights a few months ago...now I'm back to brunette with some very subtle highlights....but I usually change it up every 6weeks or so. I like going to Ulta salon...only cuz you can also get makeup application done..so it is one-stop makeover for me!   Anyways, just wanted to tell you the highlights look great and you are looking like a Hottie!! Hi Paula. You will love the massage. I had one on the Princess cruise ship and it was with a young man..... it was all professional, but I was dreaming.... they are careful and  cover you up.. It got interesting when he was massaging my upper thighs....   Enjoy yourself!!! You deserve it. Lucy
