MEDICAID AND MEDICARE SURGEONS LIST!
Hi. I just joined OH today as suggested by my mother (who had gastric bypass surgery 2 years ago). I just wanted to say thank you to all who have posted. I am so relieved to know that there are doctors in the area that take medicare AND medicaid. I am not sure if I qualify for surgery but I am looking into it. I wish you all success.

This morning I called St. Alexius New Start Program in St. Louis (which is closer to me than Springfield, IL) to see if they take Medicare/Medicaid. They do! However, you must be using Medicaid as secondary insurance with Medicare (or others) as your primary. They also require that you attend a seminar and fill out paperwork beforehand.
