Monday Morning Roll Call
Good Morning IL -
I sure hope everyone had a great holiday and long weekend. I enjoyed my long weekend but ran out of time. Where does the time go? I have my tile being delivered today for the kitchen and guest bathroom. And the biggie.. They start demolition on Thursday... yep, the day before my surgery. I think I will hide out in Amandas bedroom while recovering. It's downstairs which means about 13 steps but once I get down there I'll be away from the craziness going on in the kitchen and can hopefully rest. I'm anxious to get it done and over with before Christmas. Both my step-daughters will be home for Christmas and I don't want the house to be all tore up. This will be the best Christmas ever to have both my step-daughters and granddaughters here for the holidays. I'm jumping out of my skin I'm so excited.
This week is going to be full trying to get things in order at work and again at home. Christmas decorations still did not get put up yet. I'll get there. I am a little concerned about being off work. It seemed like this entire weekend I found myself grazing and not with the healthiest choices. The scale did not show a gain but it scare me to death. At least I have the awareness and can make better choices. It's all up to me.
Have a wonderful day everyone!

Good Morning Christina, Mendy and all of Illinois!
I am very glad to hear that things went well with Lucy and she is home and on the mend. She will be a knock-out once all the swelling disappears!
Mendy, so glad to hear that you are also doing well.
The welcome home rally for the Dakota Indians was pretty cool. There were lots of police cars and firetrucks using their sirens to excort them home. I guess they started back in Winnebago and the parade just grew from there. It turns out that our team broke 3 state records on Friday. What an AWESOME game. David was SO excited. He said it was the BEST experience of his life (so far). My husband was on the local news, cheering at the game.
Saturday I got caught up on some housework and we had a nice steak dinner.
Yesterday, more housework for me, and the rest of the family got most of the leaves cleaned up out of the yard. I got the evergreen roping hung on the front porch. I really don't like to do Christmas until after my husband's birthday on the 5th of December, but last year, the roping was dying by the time I put it up. It was MUCH easier yesterday while it was still fresh and flexible.
I really DO wish that I could join in the party on Saturday, but it is not to be. The rest of you will just have to party for me! I plan to have pictures taken with my new cute shoes, I will post them when I do.
Everyone have a lovely day!
Good Morning Mendy, Dawn and Christina!
Don't over do it at work Mendy........I have. Have the students noticed your weight loss yet or has it been just the adults? I have had the same comments too......kind of neat to finally be loosing rather than playing tug-a-war with my jeans!
Ok Christina.........bet Santa over shops for those grand kids? Do you think? I am soooo happy for you! Glad to see that they are finally back in yours and Calvins life again!
Now everyone have a good day!

Hi Christina ... Thursday was dinner at my brother's ... Friday I cooked for family, and Saturday, we wen't to "friends of the family" for their Thanksgiving dinner ... I don't think I ever want to see food again! (so what did I do yesterday? ... I bought a 26 pound turkey ... why? God knows. It was on sale.)
I'll be having a "designer-inspired" purse party this Sunday, so I'm trying to tidy up ... and I'd like to start getting the Christmas stuff out, but when? These dang holidays are just too close to one another!!
Take care.

Oh Christina, you are going to have a wonderful Christmas with all the girls there! I wanna see pictures of your kitchen when it's done. I love home improvement stuff.
I am sitting here waiting to go to Tyler's basketball game in a few. I worked today and then stopped at another Vet in the area for a job application. I figure I can't get too many out there huh? My only concern is that I would start a new job and then have to take off for surgery...do you think that will be a problem or should I wait til after surgery to apply at places? My thing, is I have no idea if I will be approved right away or not.
OH well, we'll see.
Hope everyone is having a good Monday.
