Pre-op Visit with Plastic Surgeon

Good evening! I've been running all day with appointments. Saw Dr. Madry this afternoon. He was running late as usual. First I saw the nurse who gave me my pre-op and post-op instructions along with surgical consents for my facelift and liposuction procedures. Then my PS came into the room to talk with me about my procedures. We discussed being aggressive with the liposuction and what to expect with the facelift and removal of my breast implants. Then to make sure, I had to undress and put on a paper gown. He marked me up already showing where he was going to do the surgery. We are in agreement with everything. I got my prescriptions already so I can have them filled on Friday. I am almost ready just need to wash the floors but I needed some down time since I've been so busy all day. I am working tomorrow and Friday. Tomorrow will be personal grooming day, including removal of toe and nail polish and removal of leg hair. I sure am ready for some much needed sleep. Yikes, I can't believe it's only two days away. Then I look like a ninja with all the face wraps. Wishing everyone here on the IL board, a very Happy and Safe Thanksgiving. Hugs, Lucy

Lucy, I will be thinking of you on Saturday and praying for an easy surgery and a quick recovery for you. I laughed when I saw the little smiley guy and thought, "wow, Lucy's gonna be a Ninja" LOL You sound like you have everything under control. What do you do for work that you have to work on Thanksgiving? We will be heading out to my parents, it's pretty low key this year, we usually have about 25 people and this year it will only be 12. Nice actually. Best wishes for an easy next two days as you finish the final preperations for your big day on Saturday!! Love ya

Hi Monica. I am working tomorrow because I need to wrap up things in the office before my surgery. The day I get back from my sick leave, I have a big meeting at 7 am and need to have it all ready by this Friday afternoon. If I didn't have a meeting this morning, I would have been able to take tomorrow off. I have to get the minutes done from today's meeting for my December 3rd meeting. I am in charge of the medical staff office at a hospital. I am going to my Mom's for Thanksgiving. I come from a small family and long to have a big one. Sounds like you will have a great family get together.

I am very close to being done with everything in the house. I can't wait. I'm so tired already. Thanks for your message.

Hi Karen! I gotta love that ninja look. That won't be the worst of my looks. I'm sure the liposuction will be my killer. I expect lots of swelling.When that happens, I'll be crying like a baby! I always get the "post plastic surgery depression" just like post-partum depression except I don't have a baby! I know by spring time I will look marvelous. I hope..... Good morning Ronna. Thanks for the well wishes. It's really starting to sink in that I am having this surgery tomorrow. In my mind, I am ready for swell hell. But in my heart, no, no, no way! I know that I am going to be a very sore puppy tomorrow afternoon with all that lipo. I'll have Willow post on the IL board as well as the plastics board after we get back to my house tomorrow. Lucy
