Wednesday Roll Call
Hi Christina. Wow, it sounds like you got your hands full and are extremely busy. I can understand your zest to get it all done before your foot surgery. Your day will soon be here and hopefully you will feel better. I don't envy you working at the pie house. I'm sure you'll be selling lots of pies.
Wishing you and Calvin a Happy Thanksgiving!
Lucy
Good morning to all! I have been busy stripping wallpaper off the last room in this big farm house. I believe there was 3 layers on the walls and the ceiling. I have done all the patching and I am ready to paint. I have a big 8 room house and its taken a few years to get all the paper stripped off. My son has beena abig help.
I think I strained my lower back and side its kinda achy. It could be bladder too because it seems to hurt more when I try and hold it too long.
Got Thanksgiving dinner all ready to be cooked tomorrow. I also have to go to my brothers for another dinner. I have told him about my surgery so he will not be upset if I do not eat.
Well enough about me have a great holiday weekend all and please stay safe.
Karen
Good Afternoon ALL!!!
Well, I know it has been some time since I last posted, but I have been oh so busy...
I picked up my lab results this morning and had my NUT consult. I will be faxing this stuff to the surgeon's office on Monday. So now all I have left if my appt with Dr. Hart the pulmonologist on 11/29.
The holiday will be quiet for me, as my DD went to see her dad in MN and my DH has to work 1-6, so dinner will not be until 7pm. So I get to sleep in somewhat, but I want to get a jump on the house work so I can put up the fake tree (I prefer real ones) and try and get in the holiday mood. My shopping is almost complete with exception to a few items that will be on sale Fri. Yes, I will be one of those crazy people standing in line most the night at Best Buy for an electronic gizmo....
Happy Thanksgiving
Hello everybody!
I am just marking my time here at wor****il the big game night! Amber and Riley are coming out and we are sure to have a blast!
My vacuum's motor burned out last night so I had to run to Wally World at lunch to buy a cheapie until we can get the good one fixed. My carpet is really strange and needs to be vacuumed once or twice a day....it shows EVERYTHING. It is an unforseen expense, but we can't go without one.
Chris and Dave, I am glad to hear that you are enjoying your vacation. Farm & Fleet is awesome!!! SO many bargains! What will you do tomorrow?
Lucy, it sounds like you are getting all prepared for Saturday, and it will be over before you know it. I am so glad that Willow can help you. It IS good to have friends!
George, you are doing awesome on the weight loss front! 14 lbs. is AWESOME!!!! You have a great attitude and that will help you more than anything. I missed the part about the new job....Congratulations!!!
Christina, today and tomorrow will be over soon and on Friday, I hope you schedule some time for a much needed rest. You need to take care of yourself too. I am wishing you a speedy recovery from your foot surgery next week.
Kristen, good to hear from you too! I'm glad to hear that you are recovering so well.
Pam, how are you healing? How is being back to work?
I think Monica is traveling, so I wish her and her family a safe trip. Maybe Lisa too.
Karen---I do not envy you having to strip all of that paper----it is not really much fun. The redecorating part IS fun though, I'll bet.
Wendi---you are almost at the finish line (again). Hang in there, it will come.
And to ALL of my Illinois friends:
HAPPY THANKSGIVING!!!!
Shana had surgery yesterday, so hopefully she is recovering well
Nah, I'm not traveling, or at least not far. Just to my parents house tomorrow, it's in Oregon, IL.
I haven't been writing much because I have been really depressed lately and can't seem to get out of this funk I am in. Just seems like everything is cathing up to me and I have no where to put it all.
I didn't want to burden ya'll with it, so I just read and have kept quiet.
I do want to wish everyone a very Happy and Healthy Thanksgiving!! Be safe all
Love to all
Well, kids it is almost gobble, gobble day, one of Dave's and my favorite holidays next to Christmas. We did some driving today and went to Farm and Fleet but did not find our light strings there. There were some at Menards but we want the multi colored strings. We will keep looking and we will find them. There are really expensive, 19 bucks a string of 70 lights. We did find an animated reindeer that we wanted at a different Wally World than the one here in the Dells. The ones here did not rock back and forth like it should. The reindeer sings Grandma got run over . . . song.
We walked for quite a bit in 3 different big box stores plus we walked in downtown Dells and then came back to the hotel because we need to get ready to go to church for the Thanksgiving Eve service. They have a corporate church service and we need to drive out into the country to get to it. It is snowing here a little but it is not supposed to last very long or amount to much other than snow showers. The wind up here is pretty bitter and damp at the same time.
Have a great night everyone and stay safe in your family preps for the beginning of the holiday night and weekend.
Christine
